You're obviously a piece of shite. How's that NC coming along? Enjoy your 50 years of sellouts to watch mediocre teams.

Thanks and we will.

Ah, okay. Never knew that. I didn't realize Bama/Tenn was even a rivalry game. How did that ever come about? The B1G does scheduling the way the SEC does. We all have one constant crossover game. I always preferred the way the Big 12 scheduled. Played all in division teams and then played 3 of the other divisions teams for two years and then the other three the following two years.

Nobody knows or cares tenn/bama is a rivalry outside of Tenn and Alabama. They think our lack of caring stems from our fanbase not having a "natural rivalry." In short, they're entitled, arrogant dumbasses and the "tradition" of the game needs to take a backseat to reality.

I just want to tell everyone that is complacent about the changing atmosphere around LSU football and it's traditions to basically shove your complacency up your arse.

I want to be able to recognize this university, and by extension it's football team, 40 years from now as the same place I spent some of my best years...and frick anyone that would forsake that for the money and the power of a few crystal trophies.

I want money and crystal trophies, not 1990's irrelevance.

what happened last time bama and tenn played in tuscaloosa?
just curious.

Doesn't matter. They still finished 7-5 that year and 6-6 the next.

This will be the first year in forever and a day that there won't be an SEC night game in Tiger Stadium.

Oh, shite, now I see what you are saying. I didn't realize that you haven't had any home SEC night games. Okay, well I can understand that. At least one game in conference at night should be mandatory. That is kind of surprising that all home SEC games for LSU have been during the day.

I want tradition, memories, good football, and the trophies come a very distant 4th.

Seriously, maybe you should consider becoming a hardcore NFL fan. You'd probably like it better.

What a bunch of shite. I hate the permanent cross over game bullshite. LSU gets stuck with Florida every year which is always a huge game. Which lucky team gets to play Vandy every year? What are the cross over games for everyone?

Why do I have to change my affiliation because I expect success from our program?

You basically want a social tailgate where the actual game is inferior to your ability to drink beers all day. I want success, straight up. And I think the overwhelming majority of our fanbase that comes on this board and loses their shite when we lose, play poorly, etc. would agree that our success far outweighs "memories."

That it is. Usually no matter how good LSU is, there is an SEC home opponent that is sooooo crappy that nobody in the rest of the nation wants to see the game. That game is usually the token night game.

To whom it may concern:

I am thankful for the job that CBS has done over the years in promoting the SEC, and specifically in their support of LSU and its traditions. CBS has been a great partner for the SEC over the years, and has certainly helped to spread the SEC brand nationwide.

That said, I am writing to voice my heartfelt displeasure that LSU will not play an SEC night game in Tiger Stadium this year. College football is about pageantry and tradition. Many schools in the SEC have unique traditions that are cherished by its fans. These traditions help create the identity that the SEC has become well known for nationally. One of the most well-known traditions at LSU is its storied tradition of Night Games in Tiger Stadium. Tiger Stadium at night, according to many experts, is one of the crown jewels of college football tradition.

Rational fans realize that the TV contract(s) dictate gametimes and unfortunately LSU fans are often faced with the hypothetical alternative of “being good and on CBS daytime regularly” or “being mediocre/bad and getting the ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU night game.”

But why must an institution be faced with this alternative when there is a simple solution that benefits everyone, including CBS? CBS has flirted with primetime kickoffs in the past, and according to the ratings of those games, CBS has benefited from tremendous success in those primetime kickoffs. I suggest that CBS work with ESPN and the SEC to increase the number of CBS primetime kickoffs throughout the season. One or two is not enough in my opinion.

I urge you to consider adjusting future SEC schedules to allow for more CBS night games in Tiger Stadium. ZERO LSU conference games at night in Tiger Stadium is unacceptable to the college football community.

Thanks,

feel free to forward to any SEC/CBS media members that you have emails addresses for, as I really can't find too many CBS emails online.
