By the time rolls around, I think Direct TV. will carry it. Too much money at stake!
Truthfully, they would probably be better off not picking up the network. According to reports, ESPN wants $1.30 per sub in region. Not sure what out of region per sub is. But, let's say DirecT...
Because this is the SEC Rant? Were you expecting objectivity?
Good point. :rotflmao:...
That is funny because the BTN website says BTN is currently available to up to 73 million homes. They don't bother to say what fraction of those actually subscribe. LINK
Oops. :)...
Unless they do We stacked B1G fricked
Unless they do what? And how is the B1G fricked? You guys aren't making any sense at all. What is it with you guys and all the SEC vs. everyone else? These networks aren't competing with each other. Actually, all this means o...
They did so by partnering with ESPN. The day the network launches, it will already be in more homes than BTN.
How do you figure that? You are just talking out of your arse and have no facts to back that up. BTN is available in around 90 million homes. Of that number, I believe ar...
That is just wrong. The B1G has half of the risks. That is the reason Rutgers gets a smaller payout early on- they have to basically buy their part of the 49% (Maryland does too they are just basically financing it over a long period because they are poor right now). The SEC doesn't h...
quote: One thing from a football scheduling standpoint to pay attention to is Tennessee's scheduled 2016 contest with Nebraska. With the Big Ten's decision earlier this week to split into eastern and western divisions and play nine league games, that leaves the 'Huskers with one game too man...
So ESPN carries ALL the risk of getting the network going, but the SEC conference splits the upside 50-50. Take that B1G.
Take that B1G? The Big Ten owns 49% of the network. Was originally 51%. So the SEC is getting 1% more for their network. I don't see the huge difference...
Where are you reading or hearing this? I have seen nothing regarding canceling this game. Nebraska plays Tennessee at home in 2016. That season Nebraska will play 5 conference games on the road and four at home so it doesn't make sense to cancel the series. There are already 3 home non conference g...
I'm thinking this could be a really good thing, or a really bad thing
It's going to be a great thing. Now, every game will be available nationwide no matter where you live instead of being regional as games where on FSN and CSS. ...
I didn't see this anywhere else in the thread (could have missed it, I have been checking in every now and then), but there is a report that ESPN will own the whole thing. If that is true I do not like. LINK
That's good for the SEC. ESPN is on the line for all the money that ...
This might be a dumb question...but it's important to me. Will I be able to go to my favorite little secluded bar and watch Alabama and the rest of the SEC games or will they have to buy something else to get the channel? I live in central Florida if that means anything.
All depend...
So basically for LSU fans wanting to watch baseball games, will we be seeing more or less games?
We won't know until later next year. Could be more will air but could be that the majority air on ESPN3 and not on the SECN. More details will come out later next year....

And to all thinking that ESPN will sub-license some games to other networks that's not going to happen. Any games that fall beyond selection from CBS and ESPN will be property of the SEC Network. Rather or not they choose to air it on the network or on ESPN3 is their choice but that's all any game...
quote: PAC-12 already discussing going back to 8 I think you are getting confused with the B1G. They back tracked from that recently.
No, he's right. The Big Ten will be going to 9 conference games starting in 2016. The Pac-12 is discussing going from 9 conference games to...

Hopefully it's not a night game. Kyle Field goes fricking nuts at night. It's probably, in my opinion, one of if not the loudest stadium I have ever been to and I've been to quite a few. :)...

That's with every PAC-12 team. That conference stinks. It's all SEC and no other conference is even close. And this is coming from a Big Ten fan! :)...
Couldn't agree more. :)...
I would recommend Fumblebrewski on North Market. It's about a quarter mile off of I-220. Right past Brookshires next to Walgreens....
