Checks the post you responded to including the edit that was posted an hour before your reply:

The country as a whole has no desire to watch Bama unless there is a chance of them getting beat.

Florida State was ranked third before their game with Alabama, and the general consensus was it would be a good game that FSU had a shot at winning.

First post checks out. Your post doesn't. Reading comprehension isn't your strong point, is it?

Checks the OP again, yep, the most watched game this year was...

Bama's season opener.
yes, because the nation thought that was a game Bama could lose.

Danielson is from Michigan, went to Purdue, and played for the Lions and Browns. He's not biased for or against any SEC team. Jeez.

The games seem to take forever on a cbs broadcast.

Just wish CBS would realize 7:00pm game would have better ratings than 2:30

I'd cut CBS some slack. Ohio State, Penn State, and Michigan just have large followings in the Northeast, Midwest, and rest of the country. Alabama for all its winning still has a relatively small fan base outside of the Deep South.

LSU was building a bigger fan base but Alabama seems for now to suck all the attention away from other SEC teams.

LSU has more potential nationally than Alabama if we'd win more.

Someone asked a CBS person about this at some sports thing I went to last year. The CBS guy basically said they are so strong at 7:00 right now that there is no reason to move it. They just show like NCIS reruns and weirdo people who dont like sports and older people tune in every week.

They used to never air a night SEC game until the worked with ESPN to air the Game of the Century in 2011.

As others have pointed out, this is false. CBS aired one SEC game per year on primetime since well before 2011.

You're confused because, in 2011, CBS had already aired the Alabama Florida game in primetime earlier in the year, and so Alabama and LSU were originally supposed to play on CBS in the afternoon. Since that game was so hyped up, CBS decided to negotiate with the SEC and with ESPN for the rights to air a second game in primetime that year.

I would like to see a poll of how many people would watch a 7:00 pm game compared to there 2:30 game.

Their 4 1/2 hour broadcast is a fricking horrid basically unwatchable mess unless you have a vested interest in one of the teams. You literally can't get into the natural flow of a football game at all. You'd think they'd figure this out at some point.

Old people watch CBS in droves, like ice cream day at the nursing home. Those great rated CFB night games on ABC get dominated by the geriatric crowd. One a day vitamins and Ensure ads out the wazoo
