Blount has a fumbling issue if Ridley has one. They have both fumbled the same amount of times, but Ridley has 20 more carries than him.

I think Foster is shiftier w/ better vision but not as explosive. I can see both the Larry Johnson and Jamal Lewis comparisons (though those are both big shoes to fill).
To compare to a guy from the past two years, I suppose Leveon Bell with an extra gear. Most top backs the past couple of years have been like 5'8-5'11.

I think Hill is more like Deuce Mcallister from OM & the saints a few years back?

Actually Vereen is the best RB the Patriots have. Can catch and run when called upon. Ridley is the better carrying back when he doesn't fumble. He's more versatile.
Not sure how you come to that conclusion. All that makes Vereen is a specialty back like Danny Woodhead if he's not more productive running the ball. He's apparently been called upon to catch more than to run for NE.
Meanwhile, Ridley has accounted for 39 first downs to Vereen's (running and catching) 10 first downs in 2013. And Ridley had 82 first downs to Vereen's 15 first downs in 2012. Moving the chains and scoring TD's is how you rate running backs.

Nothing like Deuce IMO. Only thing similar is the size and speed. Their running styles are completely different. Deuce was a pure bruising power RB. Hill is a big RB, but not necessarily a power RB. He can break tackles, but hes not a lower the helmet and plow through players to pick up 4 yards. Hes a big RB, but is very good in the open field, has great vision and balance, and can make people miss.
Arian Foster is the best comparison in running style IMO. I also see some Forte in him. And I like the Corey Dillon comparison a lot too. And I get why they compared him to Blount. Big RB, but isnt necessarily a power RB and is very good in open field.
But I just dont see Lynch or Deuce in Jeremy Hill.

I like the Corey Dillon comparison. Maybe even a young Ronnie Brown before injuries slowed him down.

I'd say more like Shawn Alexander

This!

Not until later in his career. Deuce had breakaway speed early in his career & was a home run threat from anywhere on the field. After his knee & ankle problems is when he lost speed then changed into a between the tackles bruising back. But as for Hill, I think the Corey Dillons comparison fits him well.

What did Deuce run coming out of Ole Miss?
Posted on 1/21/14 at 3:41 pm to rednecktgr
That may be the dumbest thing I've ever read. It says he is most like Blount but then only mentions attributes that make him not like Blount and finally summing it up by saying he's like stepen Jackson. They should just say we're too lazy to do an actual comparison so we'll just say he's like any other running back over 230 lbs

i just posted it. 4.41
He was power and speed before his knee injury.

That's what I thought but I'm not sure Hill is quite that fast. Young Deuce had a gear in the open field where he wasn't going to get caught from behind. It's close but I'm not sure Hill has that same gear.
