Ok we need 91 and 97

I'm pretty sure Cresse was like 1-16 in the CWS the year we won.
But the one hit won it all.

Gary Hymel. Todd Walker. Brandon Larson. Trey Hodges. Jared Mitchell
Correct answer.
Hymel was the one most everyone forgot...that was many years ago.

That's why I picked him. I picked Shipp because I remember people holding up a sign in the outfield that said "Shipp Happens."
Forrest Gump was big then.

The 97 team was to stacked....could have been 6 different guys.

Probably the best team LSU has ever fielded.

Hymel was on fire. We beat the Shockers that year 1991.
Posted on 6/11/13 at 10:13 pm to Bayoufightingtiger
Who was the Wichita stud pitcher we beat? Dreifort maybe?
Posted on 6/11/13 at 10:14 pm to Bayoufightingtiger
I honestly would have probably only come up with Walker and Larson on my own before I saw the list.

Only know 1, Jared Mitchell When we won CWS in 2009

1997 was sweet beating Bama.

Let me guess, this was a question at Plucker's Trivia tonight?

Not even close.
I was just surfing the net, reading about the history of the CWS and came across the list.

I got to meet his parents on the plane coming home from Omaha in '96. The pilot threatened to turn around the plane if the LSU fans didn't quit taunting the four Miami fans aboard.

How about Doug Thompson for 97??
Posted on 6/11/13 at 10:35 pm to PurpleAndGold86
I guessed Milton Waddams.
Posted on 6/11/13 at 10:37 pm to LSUGrad9295
91 would be Rick Greene, 93 Brett laxton, 97 eddy furniss, 2000 Wally pontiff, 2009 Louis Coleman would be my guess.

What was the catchers name in 91?
Gary something? Did he win it that year?

97 def Larson
2000 def Hodges
