You're this on every board.

You are JUDGING Lee off of ONE game versus a Top-5 team under difficult circumstances.

Double Penetration 40, he's been at LSU for 3 years and in those 3 years he's been the same guy he was last night - with a moment here and there where he looked pretty good. Shake off the Lee love and admit he had a bad game and hope that he becomes serviceable over the next 2.

Also, did you pick up last night that for most of his career he's been overweight and uncommitted?

quote:

yet you are not calling him good, not even adequate, which means you think he was bad, now can you admit it?

Yeah - I'll admit I thought he was bad last night. I don't hate him. And I think it is possible that he could become serviceable. I don't love or hate Lee - he's just some kid that plays QB at my alma-mater - and so far not very well.

This is typical!!! I want anybody in this thread to tell me what team in college football has a complete team. Every team had weaknesses. Our just so happen to be at the QB position we don't need a super as our QB we need a game manager and one who can make the throws when we need him to. And as far as I see JL is better than JJ. and Mett is not ready. Face it we have to deal
with JL for now he is the best we have We will ride this wave as long as we can. There will come a time in this season when we will JL to make a play but last night we didn't. Please let's just enjoy the good years. How many remember the late 80's and the 90's I think we have the best TEAM in America but the hardest schedule so let's see how we do.

Matt MaucK was not a great QB by any means. Now think if we had someone like Kellen Moore....UNSTOPPABLE!!! That said, we can win with Lee!

uh, he was the QB during the 2001 SEC title game, brah

due to Rohan being injured, but point taken...

not at all. he was a gunslinger

he turned the ball over WAY too much to be a game manager. same with flynn

the way you are talking, and it could be just the way i think you are implying it, you make it seem like the offense went through them no matter what, and that we were screwed if we couldn't throw the ball.... you forget we had good running teams then, as well as very good WR corps as well.... all they had to do was get the ball in the hands of the playmakers... that's what i mean by managing the game.... get the ball to the playmakers, don't turn it over, and make a play if need be....

i see similarities with Lee and Mauck and Flynn, and not just skin color... Lee is not going to be like 2008 Lee.... he just won't... he won't start throwing for insane amounts of yardage and multiple TD's every game either...

i think our disagreement is over semantics, but i could be wrong... and, when it comes down to it, i guess you have to ask yourself if you'd rather look bad and win, or look good and lose... i'll be concerned not so much over how many yards he throws for, but if he starts throwing to the other team again...

for the most part this was true

mauck had bad games against UF, Ole Miss, and UGA (1st time) and we lost 1 and almost lose the other 2

flynn was horrible against UK and left way too many points on the board in the firs thalf against arky

we have both this year

there is a 3rd option: look good and win

the point of this thread is that we'd be THAT team if we had a good QB

exactly. he sucked

I mean no way jimbo fisher along with Matt Mauck as his Qb set offensive records that year right?

ETA: that team broke the offensive records set in 2001.....then the 2007 team broke the records set by the 2003 team

Truth hurts...Lee was good last night, yet some of y'all ARE too stupid to understand that.

linebacker's ability to cover backs out of the backfield, cost us the Uf game and almost cost us the OU NC game. That is just defensively speaking since you asked for weaknesses. Does not imply the O was great in any of those games. we shoulda blown OU out if not for the TO's we had. 3 i believe. UF game was not Mauck's fault. UF was squatting on short routes all day and that is all jimbo wanted to throw until too late
