Ah, the good old "well, we used to do it, and people liked it, so why stop now that we know better" argument. Putting Mike in that cage and parading him around to be screamed at and frightened by the fireworks is inhumane, plain and simple. It wasn't right to do it then, but we didn't know better. Now we do.

Well then don’t have the fireworks! People would much rather see Mike than the fireworks.
Colorado still runs with their buffalo, UT still has Bevo out there on the field, Florida St. still rides Osceola and Renegade, and USC still rides Traveller. All without any major incidents that harmed the animal and all without cages. And with Texas and Colorado, the animal still stays out on the field with people yelling and screaming. Should they stop that too?
Mike is in a trailer where he can’t get out and hurt anybody or himself and is on the field for maybe 15 minutes, then he goes back to the habitat. Stop with the inhumane shite.

For the last time, LSU is trying to get sanctuary status for the tiger habitat (or was because I don't know if it has been granted.)
A condition of that status is not having Mike paraded around the stadium.

Is a governing body telling us we can’t have him in the trailer? Which one? And I guess they missed the whole fact that on average, our tigers live almost double the life of the average tiger, must not be so inhumane that he won’t be able to live.
