His own players had to go to the AD because Cannizzaro wasn’t coaching them, in practice or during the games.

I would shut up about Andy if you have a legitimate link on this

I don’t know why LSU fans fawn over Cannizzaro. Cannizzaro is a high school baseball coach. I don’t know why LSU fans fawn over a high school baseball coach.

You're a complete dumbass if you can't figure this out. Like the dude wasn't a SEC Head coach recently. Just keep it up though, you're lying to yourself if you just keep calling him only a "high school baseball coach". Everyone knows hes much more than that.

Technically he was the head coach at an SEC school

Unfortunately he didn’t do much coaching

He was very successful as a hitting coach and as a recruiter.

He wasn't all that great as a recruiter though.

Compare his recruiting of every day players with Cain’s recruiting so far.

It's sad our hitting coach or potential head coach is hitting fungos down at a high school in Chalmette.

Well, Connizaro's last two classes at LSU are juniors and Seniors. So, take out Garza and Mathis. Whatever position players are left over are Cannizaro's. The rest are Cain's.

Labas was also a Cain pull because he didn't commit to LSU until after the draft.

The guys that Cannizaro recruited, like Jacob Pearson, Rankin Woley, Tanner Allen, the JUCO 3B from Chipola, those guys left our roster depleted.

With Cain, we got toolsy projects to campus (Willis, Dugas) and haven't developed them.

Who reported that? A Miss St insider? Obviously there has been an effort to keep that stuff quiet so I know there is no credible source putting that to print, but I’ve never heard that part of the story. His players actively going to the AD to rat him out. Just curious where that comes from.

I’m not going to pretend I have inside sources or anything. These are the things that were being rumored/reported back in 2018. I apologize, I should have qualified my statement on the forum that runs rampant with rumor and alleged facts to clarify that these were the “alleged” factors that led to his firing.

Ed Orgeron was a drunk that hit a woman in his past but he’s a’ok in the Rant’s book. Are only some folks deserving of another chance?

LSU hired O 13 years after that event.

Assuming Cannizaro turns his life around, he's welcome to re-apply ... in 2031.
