Godwin would be on my list if CPM walked away after this season.

Regardless, Cannizzaro proved he can’t responsibly run a program, and Paul shouldn’t really get another shot at a hitting coach. This one needs to pan out.

All I said was your post was disingenuous. Which it was.

I would really be interested to see what CPM could do at a Mississippi State program.

I would also be interested to see what a guy like Andy could do at a program like LSU.

Maybe things turn around, but if they don't this year.. I feel like LSU is stagnant in just being good when they could be elite.

It's just an opinion though. No reason for people to get pissy either way about it.

I just do not get the full on hatred over Andy. He did a wonderful job at LSU. I appreciate what he did from a coaching standpoint.

Do you hate him because he and CPM didn't get along? Because he made a foolish personal mistake?

I feel like Hugh Freeze gets far less hatred than Canizarro and he was lying for so long and also cheating in his sport. Andy makes one foolish personal mistake.

Except it wasn’t. All I said is that the fawning over a high school baseball coach by LSU fans baffles me.

As much as you're against Andy you'd think it was your wife he was fricking

Yeah, And he’s one of the most highly respected coaches in the country. I’d love to have him back here.

And that statement is disingenuous. You're acting like all he's ever been is a HS coach and was never our hitting coach.

Okay? He didn’t recruit very well for us. He was a good hitting coach, but not irreplaceable, and he fricked up royally when given the opportunity he was given. Which he was only given because the outgoing HC wanted someone he could still influence and also try to frick LSU one last time.

You appear to have a reading comprehension problem.

I don’t know why LSU fans fawn over Cannizzaro. Cannizzaro is a high school baseball coach. I don’t know why LSU fans fawn over a high school baseball coach.

Should that disqualify you from being a college ball coach? Is that worse than beating your significant other?

I love when you post the same question over and over and just ignore the responses.

I couldn’t care less about having an affair with a coworker. My issue is him spending practices in the dugout texting her and texting her in the dugout during games instead of coaching. He didn’t even realize he didn’t have anyone warming up when he went to go pull a pitcher. His players allegedly blew the whistle on him.

So you’re mad about texting? No way he learned a lesson?

okay, you must be trolling if that’s what you took away from that.

Allegedly, his own players had to go to the AD because Cannizzaro wasn’t coaching them, in practice or during the games.

To me a coach is someone young men should be able to look up to, someone who shows them how hard work can lay off & that sometimes things don’t go your way & how to handle it

Coach Robicheaux is a good example

Andy C is trash imo

& I will stop giving a shite about LSU Baseball if he is hired

I’m saying... maybe he learned his lesson by now. Is it not worth trying him out as a hitting coach. This new guy fricking blows worse than Ochinko did.

It’s not worth trying him at hitting coach because if we need to try another hitting coach he needs to be chosen by the new head coach.

Having Ochinko as the hitting coach for a second year was the decision that used up any remaining chances Mainieri should get to hire new guys. If smith doesn’t work, that should be it.
