The Athletic Department can’t survive without the TAF. I think the TAF should call for the emergency meeting tomorrow and have WW reinstated, so he can travel with the team to Nashville for the SECT. Is that possible? Any TAF member on TD.com?

I have no idea but since they love money, TAF big guys threatening to pull there’s might help? Idk. I’m just wishful thinking.

If the TAF was not happy with King or Aleva they would have been gone a long time ago. The truth is the majority of TAF are more than happy with both of them.

We have a friend who used to be in the top 100 — not sure where he is now but they used to call him and say “hey we need xxxx and if you give us $xxx we’ll give you xxx”.

He’s not a huge basketball person though. Got his name in a few places around campus athletic facilities. I’m Going to pick his brain.

May I ask what benefits you get if you’re in Top 100? Thanks.

What I was told by a mutual friend that we’re both super close to was money was needed for certain things/features at Alex Box. He already had idk how many stadium club tickets for football and suite tickets for baseball and parking passes but he got even more. He’s got his name on a wall on campus that idk what they wanted money for that got that for him (he didn’t care about having his name up there but there reportedly did it anyway). He’s gotten to fly with the football team to away games (not sure how many).

He is a great guy — didn’t even go to LSU but gives a ton. His kids did graduate from here though. I’m pretty sure he’s given WAY more than he got in return. Again, not sure what his rank is now — the Miles era way before it ended pissed him off.

There are a whole lot of TAF members on this site. The top donors in TAF are very smart and prudent business people. They know that these allegations are very serious...the fans being angry is one of the least consequential of everything. WW will not be coaching again until he can be cleared of these allegations. He says he has done nothing wrong and I believe that he at least deserves the right to explain himself...let's see what comes of this.

Wade's dead man walking... The only reason they wanted to talk to Wade was to say sayonara. Especially if the Chairman of the BoS was involved in suspending Wade.

The only thing left for the BoS is to get rid of Alleva and Alexander.

They might give the top TAF contributors the courtesy of a briefing, but that's about it.

So you think they have enough to fire him with cause. If not, and they jump the gun, LSU owes him $9M.

Don't think a newspaper article from Yahoo is enough to give them cause.

I think that is just as much of Alleva and Alexander trying to save their own sorry asses, in as much as this is about Wade

The big donors are way more mature than the average Rant poster and probably are more concerned about future probation than Wade being reinstated.
