Wow, JJ love unabashed.
Where does JJ come into this...some have JJ on the brain.
Let it go...the season was elite, Lee's dad said bout what I expected, and spring practice starts soon...let it go.

Isn't February part of ratings/sweeps?
That would explain this piece...

AHHH why won't the media just let this die!!?? This just reminds me how pissed off I still am at Les Miles.

It's on the channel 9 replay right now.
I did try to watch a bit on the web site (wouldn't play well on my computer at least) and the only thing I really saw him say was that apparently Crowton was the best thing since sliced bread.

I don't think anyone really knows les miles. Not even les miles.
I told my wife that if LSU losses a football game last season it would be because of Miles' hard headed arrogance.
I think the NC game proved that to be true.
It was obvious, despite the sugar that Les coats on it, that Miles' action said in that game.
'I'm going to fricking do thing MY way, because I am the fricking head coach and make over FOUR MILLION DOLLARS a year, and your fricking opinions don't matter.
'I don't give a frick that 97% of the Tiger Faithful want to give Jarret a chance. I said that JJ was the better quarterback, and I'm going to do just like Jim Tressel in the 2007 NC and keep running the same few plays over and over to the bitter end.
'For all you JL admirers that were on my case for not letting him play, frick YOU.
'I'll not give you the chance to prove that you were right by playing JL and him make me look like I made a bad decision by not playing him more.
'Why? Because I am the head coach and I make 4 million dollars a year. frick YOU.
'I showed the whole Tiger Nation on February 9th that my ego is vastly more important to me than the hopes of the players who I use to earn a living off of and the fans who sacrifice in life to afford to support the team.
'If you fans give me anymore shite, I'm going to run option to the short side of the field with Mettenburger until he gets hurt so I can make Jarrard Randall the next JJ.
'Why? Because I'm the head coach and I make 4 million dollars a year with a five year guarantee and I'll do things the way I fricking want to because I'm the world's biggest college football fan and I can do anything I want because I am the head coach and I only have to make ME happy.
'frick YOU for telling me to play Jarret Lee.'
Les didn't actually say these words. But he ACTIONS spoke them loud and clear on Feb. 9th.
If you can't see that, you're blind, and I can't help you.

Might not want to put them in quotes then.
Sounds a lot like somebody venting to me and imputing things to the coach. But hey, venting can be a good thing. Hope it helps.

There was a complete meltdown by Lee the previous meeting with UA.
The LSU OL was even more porous in the 2nd meeting.
In his whole career, Lee has never fared very well vs UA,

Time to move on.

Fair, but what punctuation would you use when an action 'speaks?'

Miles shouldn't get a pass for 'coaching' the way he did.
If his arrogance didn't lose that game, then his intelligence did.
Miles is not a stupid person.

You win a prize for being the first charter member of TeamSwag to show up in here and trash JL. Remind us again how he could have been any worse than your hero was in that game?

I seem to remember a perfectly thrown JL strike to RR on a deep crossing pattern that preserved a win over the Gumps in TS in 2010, but then again, I'm sure you know better than me.

It may be time to move on but this hard headed approach if it continues will be the end of Miles at LSU. He cannot recruit top tier quaterback and recievers with 5 yards and a cloud of dust. No big potential players will view LSU as school to further their ambitions. With little confidence in our coach's micro managed approach to offense, things will eventually result in losses.
So let's forget about the total mishandling of the situation in NCG so it can happen again and again, unless by some freak of nature Miles changes his approach ... my money says he just continues to be "the man" at the expense of LSU and the program.
But it is time to move on ... and bury our heads in the sand and pretend it never happened. Good Luck with that ...

I'm not bashing Lee, just stating facts. Lee does well with time to throw and not so well under rush.
Lee has never thrown for a better % vs Bama. JJ was about 65% for NCG, which wasn't terrible for the protection.
Hard to fathom, but the loss could've been even uglier with Jarret under center.
Nothing ill mean't toward Lee, as he's left a great contribution to this and other seasons.

love Jarrett Lee's fathers comment, "fair is a place you go to ride rides". What a family.

I really like Les Miles and hope he stays LSU's coach for a long time but he absolutely screwed Jarrett Lee. It is inexcuseable what he did to him.
