Nothing but class. Easy to see where his son got it from. Too bad it wasn't reciprocated by his HC.

WAFB reported that they attempted the same interview with boxcar but he declined.

We called the fullback dive with Copeland because we thought Tommy was still around.

Dude was so classy. The reporter seemed to try and get him to say something negative, at least a little, but he didn't bite on anything. Apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Man, jlees dad trying real hard to not say anything bad about jj or LM.

Said his relationship with LM was "arms length"
But he did have lots of praise for jimbo and crowton.

It revealed that JL's dad knows what it's like to be a HC and have to make decisions that will be 2nd guessed.

I don't know why anyone expected anything different.

Hey, is JL's dad a CFB coach? I ask because I thought he said that he was.

Stephen Lee was a QBs coach at Division II West Texas A&M in 2011. I think he might have a new position for 2012, but I can't remember.

Wow, JJ love unabashed.

As a football coach, Lee's dad would have done what any coach other than Mile's would have done...he would have tried any other QB on the roster in that game. When a coach does things that SHOULD be second-guessed, he should expect to endure some second-guessing.

Lee's dad simply has too much character to take the bait.

Was a high school now he is college.

Guy certainly took the high road in the clip I watched.
Couple things I noticed
He didn't flinch or male a weird face when asked about players coming to LM on jarrets behalf in the bcs game, just said he heard it didn't happen so,,, but it wouldn't surprise had it happened
strong relationship with holgerneson, crowton and jumbo still but little to none with les mles.
Tons of calls and letters they still get thanking JL.

I got the impression he didn't like it one bit how things worked out, thought his son got a raw deal from miles by always favoring jj.
However him being in the coaching world, he was t going to make anyone look bad, chose to be just like his son and take the high road.
Perfect ex of good guys not always finishing first.
