Jones is a pull hitter that hits for power. The park is big, wind blowing straight in from LF, and you want him to come in with a lead to take out one of your better OF guys (assuming you were referring to him PH for Pearson)?
Also, if Travinski is truly hurt, Jones has to be the emergency catcher. They not going to just PH him with a lead for the hell of it.

Jones is currently without a position. It would be nice to give him a chance but no way am I taking Morgan off of first and replacing Beloso at DH. His best chance is a late inning PH role.
