I think Lewis, Hines and Kardell Thomas are good enough to hold down the guard spots. Cushenberry at C and Charles at LT

To get the best linemen on the field it would be nice if Ingram could play RT

I think he’s your left guard all the way. We have people who can play tackle adequately. I’m not sure Decalus is that guy though.

Isn't Thomas the guy that's not here yet?

put Magee at RT, when healthy he looked the best there out of him, Deculus and Traore IMO.

Interested to see what happens with Traore. He looked horrible against Southeastern last year. I hope he's healthy, because I think he has a bright future.

Hopefully Wire or Rosenthal can play.

I agree, Magee looked like the best OLineman in the spring game at LG. If Ingram does return, I think the best combination is to have him at LG and kick Magee out to RT.

He's going to have to play immensely better than what we saw last year or even this past weekend. He still cant pass protect very well at all.

They need to work closely with Magee this summer to improve his footwork and get him down to 315-320 so he will be quicker. He really could be the best option. A good senior year could even see him drafted next year.

Anyone else think that Deculus & Magee need to try to slim up and get a little quicker to handle the pass rush? Drop a few lbs and be more light on their feet?

If I’m Dare Rosenthal I’m eating, breathing and sleeping learning the nuances of playing tackle over the summer because he’s got an extremely good opportunity due to the team not having many other decent options. If I had to say right now though it will be Deculus starting at RT. I’d expect the line to be
LT: Charles
LG: Hines (if healthy)
C: Cush
RG: Lewis
RT: Deculus

If Ingram is reinstated then he will most likely take Hines spot due to Lewis having seniority. Cole Smith will be your primary backup to Cush with Magee being the first off the bench as the swing tackle/gaurd. Kardell Thomas and Bradford will be good players for us but they look like they will need a year to get the bad weight off that they both carry.

Dare playing RG in spring game was puzzling, to say the least. Dude is 6’6 300 (w/ pads on and after a big meal. How is he not backing up a T spot where we are dreadfully thin??? Someone smarter than me explain this.

Rosenthal played LT for the purple squad. I never saw him play RG. Cam Wire played RG, who is actually an OT, but I think they had to play some guys out of position due to injuries.

I watched Dare and he looks athletic enough for LT but he seems passive to me. Maybe he’s still unsure of his responsibilities but I was hoping to see some aggression on his run blocks.

Size and athleticism is definitely there. Still looked a bit raw which is understandable, he’s still very young. We all want these kids to be ready as soon as they step on campus, especially OL since that’s our weak spot, but some take longer to develop than others. Hopefully he can spend the summer in the weight room and work on his technique and be ready to step in if needed once the season starts.
