I get it. Every year tiger fans need something to latch on to and bitch about until the cows come home. Our kicking game is not in ruins. For fricks sake, we have missed 3 FG in two games between two guys, and are 9/9 on PAT. Let them settle in and find a groove.

I understand it can be unnerving when you have two guys competing, but IMO, we need to pick a guy and have him find his groove. The worst thing for kickers is the pressure of thinking if you push one kick, your getting yanked out of the game.

Take a deep breath.

Seems like you're the one that needs to calm down

Have you seen the melts about our kickers?

PS: With respect to kickoffs, I get it. Endzone or bust. Saturday was much improved, but the 5yd line kicks are bullshite.

If you can't fix mistakes against BYU & Chatt during vertially two home games. How do you expect the special teams game to be successful against Florida on any other SEC teamon the road?

Honest question:

Would you see this kicking game as reliable in a close ballgame?

This isn't really ideal. Our head coach also seems pretty concerned about it, maybe you should tell him it isn't a big deal and he needs to settle down?

Is it ideal to be 3/6 after two games, no? Do we have first-year starters trying to get comfortable, yes.

By no means am I comfortable with it either, but its not worth the hysterics at this point.

its the most glaring concern that most people can easily see biting us in the arse in the future

there isn't much to take away from these types of games, so when an obvious concern is staring you in the face, people are going to voice those concerns, especially on the incredibly reactionary Rant

Hysterics? Way to project, buddy. People are worried, and rightfully so. It could come back to bite us in the arse in a close game

Imagine the melt on here with this scenario. Bama leads us 21-20 with two seconds left, we line up to kick a game winning 25 yard field goal and it's wide right. It's just always nice not to have to be on pins and needles with chip shot field goals.

Meh.
I dislike chicken little types and negative nancies too, but I think some of you need to chill out and let there be football discussions without going nuts if it's not 100% positive all of the time.

If it goes into the end zone, it comes out to the 25.

What's the average starting position after those kicks to the 5? I'm not going to rewatch the games, but I don't recall many getting past, or even to, the 25.

How can you ever trap a returner at, say, the 10 if you always kick deep?

Apparently Bama doesn't need kickers, they always suck.

Settle down people. We'll be fine, they'll get better.

If they can't make a field goal at home while being up by 28 pts. What makes you believe that they'll make one on the road in Gainesvilles,Oxford or Ttown?
