Aw, man, come on. Don't pile on a kid playing drums at the game.

What the hell is the matter with you?

I was one of the drummers playing at the game last night. Honestly, I've heard this so many times before about how "much better I could play back in 1823" by guys who played drum set before there even was basketball. It's an entirely different ballgame than Tiger Band, and, believe it or not, sometimes its the band that makes the drummer sound bad. If you think you can do better, I invite you to come on down and try. I've seen plenty of crash and burn. Its not as easy as you think. And as far as last night, me and the other guy who played were actually stopped by an Auburn bball player who recognized us as the drummers and told us how much he enjoyed watching us the entire game. If you really have that much of a problem with the pep band, please get over yourself. We do it to support our team- not to be rockstars.

as a tiger band alum, i can honestly say Bengal Brass could be half the size it is for men's games.

I'm a former TB and BB drummer. Just me, but I hate drumsets in a basketball band. Just use a few snares, tenors and basses like in the football pep band that travels.............

I don't know what it is about drummers hatin' on other drummers but if there was ever a piece in the band that ate thier own these are the guys. Everyone's a critic. It seems no drummer can support their own brothers. It's just a phubckin' beat and the way they interpret it is their way. Embrace that, improve on it, or GTFO!

PS: I'm the worst drummer ever and no one needs to tell me what I already know. Court Jester almnus '75 - '79.

I was the other drummer in the band that night and i could give a crap what you think about it because im pretty sure that you couldnt do any better. playing drum set with a full brass band behind you is an entirely different than sucking it up with a garage band. but i guess youll never know about it.
