And Curley and Smoke and Brady. If it were up to these Joe Dean's, we'd win 4 games a year and told to be satisfied.

No, we aren't.

#4 RANKING =/= 4th best team in the country

Yes a handful of boosters can and have ruined programs..

Fans bitching about a program not preforming very well on talk shows, blogs and message boards can not.

Temper, Temper little boy. No, I don't believe that we are playing like the 4th best team in the country. Nor do I think that Boise State is the 5th if they had to play in the SEC, or that Auburn at 4-0 is not in the top 25. It is the system. Are you able to make a point without putting other people down? Question for you little boy, how many times in the last 40 years has LSU been ranked #4 or higher regardless of the team?

You can bet that the banner first season by Coach Johnson, where his team played over their heads with an iron starting five, damn near running the SEC table until fatigue and injury causes a late letup, never happens if the fans are packing the PMAC and not Bradybashing..

Instead, a HC that runs circles around the prior, is hired.

Same can be said of the "doom and gloom" crowd. They are the same ones that wanted Saban's head after the loss to Ole Miss in 2001 because there was no way the team would improve and win the SEC. They also thought the baseball program was not heading in the right direction last year after a loss to Nicholls St and had no shot at winning a championship.

Saban's a dick but he hit the nail on the head: "catastrophe syndrome."

I think the realists get lumped together with the doom and gloom crowd.

I know some of the idiots that wanted Saban's head. Those people will never be satisfied and can't see the forest through the trees. Anyone with common sense could see the program was headed upward.

The doom and gloomers AND the koolaid drinkers are BOTH detrimental. One will never be satisfied while the other will readily accept mediocrity.

I think it is a good question, there is an air of negativity around right now. You end that by playing better on the field and they know that. The question is can they and are our coaches on offense capable of correcting these glaring problems so we don't get our asses handed to us like last year, if we are competive and lose 4 I can live with it won't like but at least we know we are going in the right direction.

This is the point. Going 7-5 (3-5 in SEC) and finishing outside the top 25 since 1999 (last year) doesn't sit well. If we repeat that this season, then where are we as a program? I would say it's going downhill fast, but that isn't me as a fan ruining the program. It's just me realizing and commenting on it.

That doesn't mean all is lost. We are 4-0. We can improve. We just haven't yet.

Agreed, I think stating fans can ruin a program gives to much credit to media and outside influences and is a excuse. Win and play better and everything will be forgotten. Les and Crowton need to figure out an identity and the right mix of play calling to help the offense. I believe the D is good enough to win games if they aren't put in bad situation after bad situation. I like what Chavis has done other than a few mental errors they are playing well.
