how many games does it take a highly paid staff to realize what they are coaching/teaching/running isn't being executed and to either dumb it down or find a number of plays that a guy can run effectively? I am sorry i just don't think AJ is as bad as some claim he is...I think the coaching has failed the player

They didn't break any records. They did make an achievement though.

If you're considering having 2 1,000 yard receivers and a 1,000 yard tailback just an achievement, that's an achievement worthy of not being called overrated when the offense underperforms because of an incompetent QB.

How about throw a couple of passes to Fournette out of the backfield instead of letting him run wide open as a decoy? We should have been running more read option during the year and we forgot to roll out Jennings again yesterday because he has a much better chance to complete passes when rolling out than when he sits in the pocket.

I still haven't forgotten the fact that the guy was fired in mid-season by a team that went on to win the Super Bowl.

I just said he can't complete a 5 yard slant to a guy in his face, he probably can't throw a bubble screen either.

So...for Cam Cameron's offense to be successful (well mediocre as it ranked 37th last year) he needs an NFL QB, a record breaking rookie WR, another NFL starting WR, and an NFL starting RB?

No he needs a competent QB

Cameron is no Lane Kiffin, that's for sure. ... and he's lucky to be Les Miles' good friend, who, himself, considering his talents, just might be the luckiest man in football.

Did 2007 mean anything with regard to Gary Crowton sucking? Cam has been fired from damn near every job he's held. He sucks.

This is Les' offense, PERIOD.

Did you watch the game? There were several moments with a stoppage of action before key plays where Jennings was shown talking to Kragthorpe who was talking to Cam on the headset. Miles, who was standing 15 feet away, was in no way interfering with that strategizing.

It's his job to coach him up.

Develop them, that is why he is getting paid $1.3mil dollars. Not to have $1.3million dollars worth of fricking excuses!

He gets paid to do a job, HE DIDN'T DO IT THIS YEAR!!

So, Jennings was talking to Kragthorpe who was talking to Cameron? Does Jennings need a translator or is Cameron so inept that he doesn't understand the Chinese whispers effect?

Handoffs to running backs are basically simple - but the issue with the offense is execution of play calling outside of the ordinary running attack - BIG PROBLEMS

Not gonna fire the guy over one bad year. Now if he pulls this shite again with AJ next year and no improvement, then yes he should be let go. The problem is Miles and then Alleva. Miles hired Cam. Alleva is in charge of hiring a replacement. Start at the top and start fresh.

In some aspects, almost everyone is overrated. Cameron has shown a great propensity for elevating the games of already talented players; i.e. Brees, Flacko, Mettenberger. He definitely has struggled to accentuate the talents of these two, young dual-threat QB's. In that sense, he seems a bit overrated.
