Maybe I ignorant, so correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems to me he thought about it, almost did it, but never actually did it
You aren’t ignorant, and you’re correct. He never handed a tampered sample to anyone. He poured it out before he was tested, and then passed the test with his own urine.
The whole thing is absurd.

Okay, I thought I read the article correct. Not really arguing, just more curious if I had the facts straight.
I mean rules are rules, I get that. A punishment was definitely warranted, but it seemed excessive from what I was understanding.

Documents detail the event on Feb. 2, 2017 at LSU’s Broussard Hall. The test administer, Jason Shoemake, noticed Fulton pouring the contents of a small bottle into the beaker the player was expected to fill with his own sample. When approached, Fulton poured the contents of the beaker into a urinal and began to fill the beaker with his own urine sample.
Pretty difficult to miss.

Okay, I forgot that little info I read an hour ago before posting. Regardless, did he “fill” the beaker with the contents? Do we know how much? Was it the full amount needed, or just a little bit before pouring it out?
And he poured it out. Still doesn’t change the “attempted” tampering I suggested.

Dude was smoking weed and thought he would get busted so he broke the rules. Punishment doesn’t fit the crime but he still f’d up

“At worst, Fulton will have two years of eligibility remaining starting in 2019. He burned a year by playing in just three games as a freshman in 2016, a fractured right ring finger midway through the season holding him back. He used 2017, the first year of his suspension, as a redshirt. He’ll burn 2018 if the case is not reopened.
He used a Redshirt in year one OP.......even if this stands he still has 2 years

I didn’t know about this policy 5 years ago.
But my argument carries weight because the NCAA’s penalty is about 6 times any other sports organizations in the US.

Which NCAA rule did Robinson break?

Cam Robinson busted with guns

The big conferences should all sit down together and come to an agreement and tell the NCAA to frick off. The NCAA needs the big conferences - not the other way around.

Alright, more Bama obsession. Ever wonder how much they think about us on a daily basis?

As I understand the story, he was in the car with two guns, one of them stolen, and weed. I’m not making a value judgement about the laws, fwiw, but possession of a controlled substance and a gun is an automatic felony and I’m wont to believe that possession of a stolen gun may also be a felony. To me, your argument would only be applicable if he was only found in the possesion of gun without drugs and if the gun were not stolen.
I could be wrong. Feel free to correct me, lawyers and 5-0.

I don't think you're being very objective there.

I agree that CR I should have faced a penalty way beyond what he got, but don't act like Fulton was a choir boy.
Should he get 2 years? No.
In fact I think 1 year is too much, but doing what he did deserves some punishment. It was just stupid.

He did NOT do the right thing. Although he probably doesn't deserve a 2 year ban for it. Should've just counted as a failed test and a 1 year suspension.
Also, who knew that the NCAA limit was 17 ng/ml? You can basically smoke a joint a week and pass those tests, or just drink a shite ton of water. Tells me all these athletes smoke a little dope and just dilute their samples.

Where do you people come from?
I suspect most of them come from Monroe , the last holdout of the wild, wild west .The only law up there must come from one of the earlier 'Bama grads , Judge Roy Bean .
