It was this tone that sent Angel over the edge. She just could t get a reaction out of Clark…which is almost unheard of these days in sports.

I'm absolutely shocked. Just shocked that she didn't come out and complain about someone using her own trash talk on her when she lost. SHOCKED!

Caitlin Clark to ESPN just now: “I don't think Angel should be criticized at all. No matter what way it goes, she should never be criticized for what she did. I compete, she competed.

“It was a super, super fun game. I think that's what's going to bring more people to our game”

If you read between the lines she is saying.. "women who look like me are going to bring more women who look like me to the game"

Somebody check on Thacian’s dumb, geriatric, racist arse. Not sure he can handle this news.

its sad you think any of this means anything to view points of what Angel did representing our state and university.

this statement by caitlin means nothing but caitlin is taking the extreme high road and has nothing to gain in a public drama against a female black athlete.

How ridiculous do the grown men on here that actually complained about this feel now?

Caitlin has shown herself to be a class act especially in defeat. What a warrior and refreshing young lady.

I do not feel ridiculous at all. I stand by my statement. There is no need to chase down the opponent at the end of the game to taunt them and rub it in when winning by 17! I am all for the smack talk hand jesters whatever is done during the course of the game. Angel's first priority was to get in Catlin's face. Why not celebrate the win. If you saw Remember the Titans with Denzel Washington one of the best scenes in the movie was when he handed the coach the Banana. If I were Reese I would have waited until they were shaking hands and done the can't see me jester and laugh about it with her. That is sportsmanship and out classing your opponent! I do not believe there would have been any backlash to this.

The LSU players never shook the Iowa players' hands.

Trying to figure out how I can still be mad about this. Can we call Clark "WOKE" now?

Caitlin would seem petty if she said anything else, but this isn't about Caitlin's feelings. Just because Caitlin or anyone else turns the other cheek doesn't make it acceptable to taunt someone after the competition is over. Reese acted like a punk, and followed it up with more classless comments. That should be condemned, especially from someone that purports to be a role model. At least some other athletes that act like punks aren't hypocrites, because they tell us that they aren't role models.
