The draft is about NEED. Not many teams are going to need Byrd's combination of speed, "talent" and attitude.

Byrd's a bitch. If he had first round talent, he'd go in the first. Your numbers in college have almost nothing to do with where you get drafted. Case in point: Wuerffel would have been a first rounder and Charlie Ward and Jason White and the list goes on. It doesn't mean shite. A scout can tell if you're worth a shite. Dude ain't as good as he thinks he is.

Byrd also said it was his fault, he let his attitude affect his play, he said that was the one thing his agent told him he would have to work on, Byrd was pretty honest about the whole thing. I was surprised. I would have thought he would have hid behind excuses, but he owned it.
Sports2. Thanks for coming on here and clearring this up. I have not been a big fan of his this year. I hope this is the start of a more mature attitude for him. I do wish him and all TIGERS well.
Anyway, I hope this is a portent of better things to come for him. I do believe he has the physical skills and the major question (for me) was his attitude. Admittedly the whole team has gone througha lot. Some times we are all a little too judgemental.

Well, can you disagree with him?

He's totally right. He had Jarrett fricking Lee throwing to him.
Didn't seem to hurt LaFell any. Byrd is a whinning pussy.

I couldn't count the amount of drops and missed blocks Byrd had this year. Quitting on your team will look great on his resume.

not too take up for Byrd's laziness but Lafell ran alot more shallow crossing routes while byrd often ran the deeper ones for us.

LSU who didn't have QBs that could get him the ball this year.
Lee sure didn't have any problems getting the ball to Lafell. LOL at Byrd.

I already knew that! The Tigers were left in a bind with the departure of one Mr. Ryan P. We started the season with Andrew Hatch at QB. He is correct, enough said.

And he didn't have any problems getting the ball to the other team either. Byrd was practically the 3rd wr out there.
Byrd did have a shitty attitude but Lee could not get him the ball. I wish Byrd the best of luck in the NFL. I have a problem with Coleman and Taylor from last year's team. Both need their attitude's checked.

I'm sorry. I've never like this selfish little momma's boy. I'm not at all surprised by this attitude. It's all about him. I think he was a festering sore on this team this past year.

D.Byrd brought the ghetto fab to Red Stick.
All the teams on draft day--"you cant see me"
Not being harsh, just truthfull.
I dont see a team using a draft pick on him, but hey, WHATDOINO.
So now I will shut up.

When he's on Sunday Night Football, they go thru the starting lineups, the players announce their colleges...a lot of ya'll are going to do die a little inside when he says his high school.
I know, I know...(now that) we hate him, he'll never be good enough to be a starter in the league, blah.

No wonder the divorce rate is so high in this country, there are a lot of people who jump ship pretty quick.
Byrd can be his own worst enemy no doubt, but there certainly wasn't any hate for him this weekend.
Just remember, people change for the good and the bad, and maybe he is doing some growing up.

I am not saying what Byrd says is entirely wrong...but I seem to remember him dropping a few key passes. It was more the QB's but its not like he didnt screw up at times himself.
