Exactly, you watched your predecessor not change a damn thing and say the same things over and over and get shown the door. Unbelievable.

What bothers me the most about this is that just like a QB on offense a ILB (and leader) on defense has to be looked at from the aspect of results on the field in totality. Not just individual performance.

The results aren't there, but the trust and confidence is.

So the worry is a lack of objectivity.

You guys are hung up on Clark’s performance from last year. Ask real football people, he’s better!!
Move on to another player

Have you watched the 1st 2 games? This guy is in the running for worst starting linebacker in the past quarter century. The season will tell if he wins the title from Thomas Dunson or DJ Welter.

I'm not trying to rip Clark but for the HC to blatantly say what isn't true, and hasn't been, since the season started (to be fair last season included) is ridiculous.

The HC has to support his players publicly and give them reasons to keep their head up.

Clark is by no means playing all SEC nor is he playing as bad as 90% of the parrots on here seem to think despite not doing any homework on it. DC is the #6 tackler in the SEC and by far the leading tackler on the team.

And as for the defense, LSU and Bama have played 2 games of very similar opponent strength. Yhe statistical difference in LSU and Bama defensively is 100 total yds and 2 TDs allowed. Our problem on D is busted plays which one hopes can be fixed. Our biggest team problem is offense and sustaining drives however you do it.

It may actually be his best, but simply not good enough for the team. I don't fault th kid for the. It's on the coach to put the "BEST" player in.

Eddie O proving once again his savant abilities!
