Regardless of his level of competition or lack thereof, what Colt Brennan did at Hawaii is amazing

It absolutely is but schedule and level of competition definitely matters. Put Burrow in the offense against that competition and what happens?

All that matters from Colt Brennan’s tenure at Hawaii is what he did (or didn’t do) against UGA.

I told people he would be watching the game lying flat on his back, and sure enough he was.

Heres the deal. Burrow is the best college player in the country and its not close. In fact, he's the best since Cam Newton.

How many games was that he did that in. Joe has at least 5/6 more to ad on another 1200-1500 depending how crazy he goes.

06 CFB was hung over and struggling to replace the great players from those OU/USC teams from 03-05 (plus VY at UT)

Jason White:

05: 65.7 3815 28 8

Carson Palmer:

And to compare McCoy who had the completion % record (he actually had a much better statistical season than I remember):

2008: 76.7 3846 40 10

If LSU makes the CFP National Championship game Burrow will have 5,000 yards and 50 TDs.

I've always said that the difference between good QBs and great ones is not arm strength or any of that. Nearly all QBs in the NFL or the upper echelon of CFB have good arms. The difference to me is the ability to quickly process a lot of information and make a good decision about where to go with the ball. QB is a position mostly played between the ears and Joe has a great football IQ

It’s not just football IQ. A friend of mine who’s son went to high school with him says his mind is being waisted on football. He is a very intelligent young man from what I hear. I’m told that intellectually he could do anything he puts his mind to.

Their seasons had one less game LOL.

Agreed that this comparison needs to be with more recent qb stats like bradford, haskins had unreal numbers last year, lamar jackson, manziel/cam newton etc
