Agreed on all the main points of the OP. I was excited about Narcisse (both this year's potential and future) but can see why he'd transfer now with not getting a real shot at being a starter for 2-3 years. I have a feeling he will do well in his eventual P5 home.

With a tough opener and possibly an even tougher road game at Auburn just a couple of weeks later, Burrow will need to play well early or fans will be calling for Brennan. I feel as good about our top 2 QBs as I have in many years.

I'm definitely in the minority with this next opinion but I think it's a little more difficult for a Lefty QB to win a job when he's not the clear starter. Little things like timing and Right vs Left OT can affect things. Lefty QBs seem to be in the decline in the past couple of decades.

It's one of many factors. Not a deal-breaker,but you want your center, line, backs and especially receivers to have as much familiarity with the QB's angles and tendencies as is possible. The left-handedness can be overcome, but it is not negligible.
