Enjoying watching the A&M game for The Who knows how many time and it dawned on me listening to the announcers.

Given the amazing season to that point JB had he still hadn’t locked the Heisman. By the end of the A&M game and the next 3 games he went from a Heisman contender to being considered one of the best college QBs ever. It just shows how dominant he and the Tigers were in the last 4 games of the year against some great competition.

Wow, what a season.

I think most had locked him in for the Heisman after the Bama game. From there it was just matter of not having a bad game. But he only got more and more dominant. And yes, wow, it was an incredible ride,

Still amazing and mind blowing to think of the crazy ride we just went through. I can only hope we are half as good as that this year. What a freaking football team

He won the Heisman with the largest margin. Yet somehow 3 people still voted him 3rd in the Heisman. And then he followed up the award with 2 unbelievable games in the playoffs and won a natty.

If they had voted after the season was over, he would have basically earned 99% of the votes. It would not have even been close. Considering the other 3 finalists did nothing compared to Joe in the playoffs.

Depending upon what sportsbook you looked at, he was the betting line favorite well BEFORE the Alabama game. After that game he became the overwhelming favorite.

While maybe the announcers didn't say he had "locked up the trophy", everyone else had. Perhaps, because they didn't take a definitive position because ESPN was covering the A&M game and also broadcast the trophy ceremony. They didn't want to sound like they were trying to influence the voters.

It would have taken a complete collapse following the Bama game for him to lose it and most people knew it.

Burrow locked the Heisman up in the Alabama win, it was his to lose at that point.

He pretty much sealed the deal at Bama. Even Gary Danielson was in awe at that point. Dare I say, speechless?? Hahaha. We can only wish... speechless!

Just the title of this made me look up his Heisman speech. Man, I still can't get over it.

The guy's a class act.

"Coach O......"
