The vols are still butthurt because it was really us that started their slow decent into irrelevancy beginning with the 2001 SEC championship game. I was there and I remember all of the vols fans walking around the old Georgia dome with roses because they thought they were going to walk all over us and then head to the NC game in the Rose Bowl. Before kickoff a couple of vol fans were by me talking about what hotels each other had booked in LA for the game. After the game roses were all over the ground as the LSU fans walked all over them on the way out chanting "no more roses!".

Meh, whenever I scroll twitter posts where people mention LSU come up whether I follow them or not. Been seeing lots of Tennessee people say LSU scares them or that this is a trap game. Even ones who think they’ll win aren’t predicting a blowout. I’d say the average post I’ve seen is cautiously optimistic at best.
It’s actually kind of refreshing to see respect from fans of opponents after spending time in here and reading all the self hate/negativity.

I simply responded to the guy that wanted to call out our defensive stats but not recognize the other part of the game. So I figure I would help him out with the rest of the stats. But you say a good defense. But what justification does LSU have to claim they have a good defense? Let’s look at the current teams you beat.
New Mexico - 130th ranked offense
Southern - bad FCS Team
State - Offense ranked 45th ranked offense
Auburn - 80th offense in country
FSU - 17th offense in country.
So by these metrics LSU hasn’t played anyone good. And the only team they faced with a top 25 offense they LOST.

You do realize that UT played 4 QB’s in the Ball State game alone right. The starters have only played in 2 compete games(Pitt and Florida). All the starters was pulled after 1 possession in the 3rd against Ball State and Akron. Imagine what the scores would have been if the starters played entire 3rd quarter in those games?
