You’re missing the point but as a reminder, those two went a combined 28-1 last year: that’s a pretty high standard!

We literally win the USC and Florida game with a mobile QB. You could argue we lose the Ole Miss game without Nuss at the end, but he played pretty poorly up to that last drive.

College ball isn't the NFL yet, but unless you have talent stacked deep across the board, you cant win with a game manager QB. UGA is more talented than any team in the country and Beck being average has them fighting to make the playoffs with 2 losses.

Lmao, there are gonna be a lot of disappointed and excuse Makimg next year, and I have a prediction. When underwood does not live up to this “walks on water” image 99% of you envision this year, it will cost Kelly his job.

Yeah, I was too broad stroked with my response. I shouldve said great QB with running ability. The point being a special QB can make a ton of difference in a teams season and can mask a LOT of problems.

But I agree with you. Underwood better be the second coming, or he will not live up to expectations. Hell, at the end of 2022, 3/4 of this board was jacked that we would be in year 1 of the Walker Howard right now.

Jayden Daniels was the difference in a 10 win season and possibly missing a bowl game, so yes

This place is going to completely shut down the first time underwood has an incompletion

It might just implode if he ever throws an interception

Look I want u derwood to be great, but there are a ton of people on here who believe if he played this year we automatically have 2 less loses, which quite honestly would be an amazing feat of a player could do that. I expect him to be a good player whose gonna need a lot of growing as a freshman if he starts but I’m not gonna expect him to come in and be the savior of this program right away. And yes, many people believe this will be the case

Give me that dual QB over a Pro style QB in college anyday, everyday… we saw 2 Heisman trophy QB winners who used their feet as much as their arms to help win games..I’ll take that again, hopefully we will see that next season again..…

If Nuss is projected 2nd round or higher he is not hitting the portal.

Why is it so hard for people to see that some of these players want to play for a certain school and relationships with coaches puts it over the top?

Look at Lagway and UF. We are in a similar position and better if we're being honest. They were talking about firing Napier when he committed and UF had several awful seasons. Our staff has shown what it can do with talent. Bryce saw JD win a Heisman here.

I’m watching Bryce’s highlights as I type this, but he’s making high level throws that have made my jaw drop. And he’s got an ability to judge the amount of zip he needs on a ball, but man he can let it rip when he wants. He’s going to be special, he’s more of a straight line runner versus JD who was so shifty.
