isn't he nursing an injury as well?
I don't think it would prevent him from DHing

Sad to see this for the kid, hoping for a speedy recovery!

Bad news. He was a middle of the order guy, I think Pauly M said 4 spot on something I read earlier.
They have options, Romero, Coomes, Adams, Templet....
Hope he gets well soon.

if they are having trouble deciding on a left fielder, why not let the slow one DH, the other play LF and sandwich greg with the freshmen or Beau. I know it sounds crazy but who here has been to a scrimmage and seen those guys play? If Breaux has improved as much as everyone is saying, and the freshman are as good as CPM says, is that not the logical way to make the decision? Some combination of the following:
Robertson
Freeman
Smith
Deichmann
Jordan
Slaughter
Breaux
Pappy
Duplantis

Will Coomes be the DH now?

I can't see Duplantis being the 9 hole this year after being 1-3 last year with the productivity he had.

I believe scuba posted he just got his first hit of the spring and hasn't done much. I've been to a couple scrimmages and from what I've seen he's significantly injured but for some reason is still playing. I noticed he grabbed the left arm after throwing and then the next week (I think I missed 3) had a compression sleeve on it.
Does anyone know if Duplantis has sat out for "soreness" like Watson and Breaux?

This is just sad.... feel for the guy..... he has worked his arse off.....

I think breaux is a perfect candidate to bat ninth. He has the speed to be a threat when they turn the order over... kinda like freeman at times last year. Of course, the Kid has to hit though.

Catching foul balls down the third base line is the hardest play at Alex Box, they should have told Bryce to let any foul balls down the line go since that wasn't his normal position.
I remember when the Rice 3B tore up his knee on similar play during a super regional. He's with the Nats now, Rendon.

Bryce Adams had two strong doubles off both gap walls in the last scrimmage. Wouldn't be surprised to see him start off in the DH role now.

Beau tore his Meniscus his freshman year not Bryce
