Bryce Underwood flipping on us could be one of program’s biggest butterfly effects

If underwood stayed with his commitment theirs a good chance that :
Brian kelly gets another year
Joe Sloan doesn’t get fired
Kiffin never becomes our head coach
With how awful he looks it’s truly a blessing in disguise he didn’t end up sticking to his commitment

and he probably leaves at the end of last season anyway

He's above average as a QB, but I'm very glad he went elsewhere.

I think it’s fair to say Underwood played a part in Kiffin being at LSU now
You could say akin to Saban ending up at AL when Brees was passed on for Culpepper

If he is above avg it’s not by much. He’s shown flashes, but I’ve seen more bad than good. He has horrible timing with his receivers and he looks confused at times when reading defenses.
I could see him playing well thanks to a new system once he gets a hang of it and I can see his second season being worse than the first. I don’t think there’s an in-between for him. He’s just an amazing athlete playing QB. They’d be better off moving him somewhere else on the off in my opinion.

Or we fire Bryan Kelly a year too early and end up hiring Sumrall or someone else

Is he? He averaged fewer than 200 YPG passing last year with 11 TDs and 9 ints. Even if you included his rushing yards he only averaged 217 YPG with 17 TDs. Which is funnily his total yardage on Saturday with 2 TDs and 1 INT.
So is he above average? No. Is he consistent. Yes.

It's funny how there are specific points in time where something so small in the grand scheme of things can have massive ripples.

Did you watch him play? He was horrible, not saying he will not get better but at this moment that ROI is in the tank. I’m glad we dodged that and Sorsby bullet. I bet he ends up bouncing around to 2 or 3 teams during his college tenure.
