From the limited minutes I’ve seen from him, he’s a competent 7 foot center who could be defending Castleton and more 7 footers we will have to play this year.

Like I said, limited minutes he’s been given this year. But why not play him more against average opponents to develop him for these situations. He doesn’t need to score for us, just defend and rebound against the average 7 footer that’s tearing us up.

We will never be an elite basketball program with 6’6-6’8 centers.

Prayers that we pull this game out.

He’s not on the roster though.

He is completely lacking in aggression. He would be no help to this team.

Didn’t even know that. Damnit.

And I don’t think Josh Gray is capable yet.

It would be nice to have Shareef out there for rebounds.

He left the program for personal reasons.

Just curious what limited minutes he’s been given that shows he’s lacking aggression?

Get all the 7 footers you want. It won’t matter. The issue is not personnel. It’s a flat out refusal to both acknowledge Wade’s defensive approach is awful and to take meaningful steps to fix it. PERIOD!

He's at home and not with the team right now. Wade just said he's not with the team right now for the forseeable future. So he is probably done for this year if not for good.

Threads and posts in the threads show how little LSU "fans" follow basketball.

BPJ left for "personal reasons" and those guys never come back. Reef has a sprained ankle and could not play today.

Y'all need to read the fricking twitter or follow basketball stuff before just posting dumb shite. It's nauseating after a loss or close win people just shite on the team.

Then how do you explain 4 years of poor defense? 2 of those seasons they had at least one 6’10 (or greater) frontcourt player. And before you say the 18-19 team was good defensively, just remember they were 8th in defensive efficiency in the SEC and would been in the bottom 1/3rd of teams in other power conferences such as the Big 12 and ACC.

Just because they were better that the rest of Wade’s teams doesn’t mean they were “good”.

Take out the final season when the program just quit on Jones and you will find Wade’s teams have much worse than Jones’s defensively (though obviously much better overall).

And FTR, this isn’t a “fire Wade” post. Just pointing out a glaring deficiency he refuses to fix.
