Folks can spin it, twist it, chop it, sautee it, I don't give a shite.....nobody wants to see the boss of the football team with a big fricking smile on his face after having to come back against a team like Troy. Folks know better.
NOt sure its spin. I eman Les comments a whole like at his press conference shows he recognizes problems and it has to be fixed.
I guess there are tow lines of thoughts on this. I think a comeback is going to be imortant for the future and maybe just maybe what this team needed.
It is something at least postive to build on in year full of diffiuties and challenges.

Hey Rocket!
Smile buddy and put on some tunes. Something upbeat though, not them crying ones.

Yeah, well, folks don't see a whole lot about this defense that's getting fixed.
They're big boys. They can take an asschewing, I promise. It depends on the chemistry and leadership of this team on how they'll react.
If he doesn't do something to get their attention, Ole Miss may beat us in our house. They're capable of it.

I have only seen glimpsies of Miles being fired up. I wouldn't want him mad at me at practice.
You are right in that they need to get these quys playing a solid game start to finish.

To be honest, I'm half expecting it.

Miles was being polite--nothing more. How can you be so clueless?

Bryan Lazare was my Senior Yr. Math teacher in High School! Is he still teaching?
to Mr. Lazare

Guys, why do you get your panties in a uproar? Some of you need to wake up...Has anyone seen Miles at practice or in a coach's meeting? How do many of you come up with your shite or better shite? Most of you all just speculate...Does any one remember the ESPN clip at the beginning of the year? He got fired up and yelled at a player! This is just not our year...That is all...For some, a perfect season would not be enough...Oh by the way frick Alabama...

The most telling about that interview is When BL says that he asked Miles, on sunday morning when you look at the tape. What tells you more about your team, the 31-3 drumming in the first 3 quarters or the 37-0 comeback. Miles said "Alwayse the part that makes victor". BL said to Bill King, the ex coach would of never said that. What that tells me is Miles doesn't have the mentality to dominate or improve.
I agree, very telling, and definitely not something that Mister-Attention-To-Details/The-Master-Of-Minutiae would be saying after that game.

If we come out flat, they can turn the scoreboard on us real quick.
They put up a dickload of yards against us last year. And 24 points. From what I've seen of OM, they are a hungry team.

Right, he would have said, "it was like 9/11, we shouldn't lose to Troy (UAB, ULM)"
The good thing is, Miles hasn't had to say that.

Playing Ole Miss will be a great opportunity to see if there has been actual improvement in many areas. On the field and on the sidelines.
I was encouraged to see Lee step into his throws and show some confidence, rather than throwing off his back foot with no pressure on him.
Maybe Lee is like a golfer trying to break 80 for the first time or playing even par through nine holes? His mechanics sure looked better when he had nothing to lose.
I saw last week where ForeLSU pointed out he performs well after his returned INT's. Maybe there is something to this. After things can't get any worse, he relaxes and plays better.
We sure have a good bit of film we can show him prior to kickoff that might allow him to settle in before the game starts.
You will never explain to me how it took our DC's the entire half to realize we needed to disrupt the timing of their routes if we were going to stop them.
Our DL experimented with alignments, but kept leaving the passing lane wide open when the QB wasn't throwing the ball helmet high. I've run out of excuses for the DC's.

You beat me to it.
Any ex-coach that has UAB and ULM as losses is not one I would go to for advice on how to feel after a game like Saturday's.
As far as seeing some fire from Miles as he chews out players. . .that's for the locker room and practice field. . .not for a group of voyeurs.

No he would probably say something like
“You certainly have to appreciate every win that you have,” LSU Coach Nick Saban said. “And I certainly appreciate the fact that we competed, that we came back in the game and found a way to win.”
As he said after LSU's last game against Troy.

I agree that sometimes Lesticles is a little to laid back. His teams sometimes take that same approach. A famous coach once said: "It's too late to holler and scream at the players during the game. That should be done, along with coaching and installing the game plan at practice. During the game it's too late for all of that."
This particular coach has gone on to have a pretty successfull carreer......Joe Paterno. Head Coach Penn State University
