if i was not a member of the football team, i'd expect charges to be filed w/i a couple days or not at all. if nothing happened there, and i thought i had a case, i'd file in civil court for medical compensation.

What makes you think JJ would have had the courage to throw down if the guys who had a problem with him were his size or larger?

The police obviously do. They are just cornering the defense by letting people know that they have enough evidence to where it probably wouldn't be smart to commit perjury in LSU's defense. Once those people realize the magnitude of the situation, the defense will be weaker and will try to make a plea bargain. The defense isn't trying to prove innocence either -- only trying to create enough uncertainty to bargain for a better plea -- which is why i think Les should take action now. It's not going to fly with many fans if he says "well im only suspending him for x games because of the charge..." when their will be overwhelming evidence that a plea bargain took place.
