Took a direct hit from Hurricane Ed today. Luckily for him it was only Cat 2 strength

What was that all about?

Almost every person in media is a damn snake, and deserves an arse chewing often.

I believe he's referencing the question that Kubena posed to Coach O about "why the players didn't notify him about the march on campus". Coach O replied something along the lines of "why don't you media guys come to me before posting a story about something that you don't know anything about". I don't necessarily get O's response other than just expressing his distaste for the media. Kubena followed with something about "we can talk about these things anytime you want to". To which O pretty much repeated "why don't you get the story from the horse's mouth before putting out your stories".

Kubena asked in the Zoom conference with media today why O wasn’t at the march. O made it abundantly clear to Kubena that he didn’t appreciate him using “outside sources” in a article he put out, and O said if he had any questions about his football team to ask him directly.

You had to see and hear it to appreciate the moment. I’m sure Kubena wet his pants a bit.

Is it me or is this another way LSU is different than other teams in the SEC? Whenever I hear other teams beat writers they are the biggest homer sunshine pumpers for the teams they cover. Meanwhile LSU beat writers are doing freedom of information requests and trying to expose shite in the program or just generally reporting things from a negative angle. Maybe I’m just closer to the LSU program but am I wrong in this?

Have you been paying attention to what The Advocate, NOLA.com and WAFB have become in the past several years? Different owners and management have them vying to be the local version of CNN. Divisive, sensational/inflammatory headlines, constant pandering to the Left, priority given to anything that might generate clicks, without regard to doing any real journalism or any concerns for accuracy. Biting the hand that feeds you is all the rage nationally, and locally is no different.
