Johnson is a joke; barely a high school level coach. If Woodward wants to retain any credibility this experiment needs to end after this season. Give McDonnell whatever it takes. $3M.

I was kind of underwhelmed to be honest when the hiring of Jay Johnson was announced but now he is the coach of our LSU Tigers baseball team and he has my best wishes and support. I do not believe he should be judged or held accountable until he has had a few years to get his kind of players in here to address the program's deficiencies, and build the kind of program he envisions. Now that he's here give the man a chance. It was never going to happen overnight no matter who was hired.

McDonnell and Vitello were my #1 and #2. The knock on McDonnell last season never bothered me. I believe Louisville started out hot and then had a ton of injuries. It was only one bad season.
However, I am actually impressed by Johnson. This weekend sucked, but I still like to see him get a recruiting class of his own to LSU.
