frick off, shite for brains. As has been stated MANY times, all of those teams are good P4 programs. Tulame isn’t remotely close to ANY of them. We aren’t playing them home and home. It will never happen.

Tulane has not sold out its ticket allotment in TS. in several decades. If they don't care, why should LSU fans? Also in past decades, the tulane athletic dept. has regularly screwed over LSU fans trying to get sports tickets to LSU / tulane events in N.O.

Solves the problem of not having an SEC rivalry game that weekend

As long as the sec championship game is around then I’m for it. Uga has an advantage playing tech before the sec championship game. LSU would also have an advantage before the sec championship game if we played Tulane. They are way worse than Arkansas, Texas A&M, or Oklahoma

it would make LSU totally irrelevant in that final week.

Meh. It’s the following week of the sec championship game that you want to be relevant.

Awww hell no…they were considered a home game and a part of the season ticket package. As a result, I was forced to spend several hundred dollars for tickets that I couldn’t even give away. Nobody wanted to go to those games, ever.

The point is, you don’t lose the revenue for a potential home game every other year for a game vs a G5 that won’t matter at all to anyone outside of the state.

Keltic, for years I would not go to a Toolame game in NOLA because of the games they played with the ticket prices...until I remembered that LSU did the same thing with football tickets for Alabama, Ole Miss, etc.
It's business. LSU can put it in the contract for the 1 of 4 or 5 that they play in the Dome that the prices must be equal for both the 60K LSU fans as well as the 6 or 7 Toolame fans that show up for their deserved arse kicking.

Sure, if they agree to play every game in Tiger Stadium. Otherwise, it is pretty dumb to give up a home game when you will now have 9 SEC games.

This is an excellent idea. The fools down voting have no idea of what the rivalry was.

My Dad was part of the TnT club and I remember the wheelbarrow parades.
They were more fun to me than Mardi Gras.

There was a time when a lot of New Orleans natives were able to afford Tulane, and there were many Tulane graduates from here.

The Terrance Jones and Marc Zeno teams could light it up and scared the shite outta me.

I'd rather play them instead of Akron.

The difference is the Akrons of the world agree to play LSU at home with no return visit. Tulane won’t do that.

LSU will only agree to play at the superdome if LSU can control the ticket sales and will cover game expenses.

LSU will be the designated home team
LSU will cover all the game expenses
LSU shall pay Tulane a guaranteed between $1.8 million to $3 million
Sec has the rights to retain all broadcasting and sponsorship revenue generated from the game.

That’s what Notre dame did for their 2022 game vs BYU

Notre dame controls ticket sales
Notre dame is the designated home team
Pay BYU $1.35 million guaranteed

The 1987 game in the Dome was one of the best games I ever saw.

Like making LSU fans buy a ticket package as the only way to get tickets for the game, or seeing what they do for baseball tickets, no need to schedule them ever!!

"What the rivalry was". Exactly. 35+ years ago. As for the prices of tickets,, LSU increased tickets for those CONFERENCE games. tulane ticket prices were directed at LSU fans. More than a few times. when LSU would play tulane in baseball in N.O., the only way for Tiger fans to get tickets was to buy tulane season tickets. tulane also refused to allow the baseball games to be televised. Again, a direct slap at LSU fans. The always entertaining Winn Dixie Classic, for baseball, was finally cancelled by Skip when tulane's A.D. kept pushing for higher ticket revues when LSU fans dominated tickets sold. With 80+ % of its students / alums being from out of state, largely from the East Coast, its fans could care less. This game is meaningless to them.

Exactly, the WD classic (which I loved going to by the way) was a money loser for LSU, it would have been much better money wise to play a home series rather than subsidizing Tulane Baseball
