Bright Outlook at QB
Posted by Football_Freak on 1/16/15 at 10:59 am

Ok,I'm as aware (and frustrated) as anyone about our lingering QB issues. So, let's try to put a positive outlook forward on this.
2015
Jennings Junior - either better or backup
Harris. Sophomore - developed better and more disciplined and prepared.
2016
Jennings as senior - either better or backup
Harris as junior - developed substantially
Shea Patterson - true fresh
2017
Harris - senior and fully developed
Shea - red shirt freshman or sophomore
Ok, so this is a positive outlook, inclusive of a vastly improved DL and close to a 2011 level defense.
We win 9-12 games in '15, 10-14 in '16 and 2017 looks to be the best postures LSU team ever.

His field vision scares me, and She as mobility and field vision are strong, and this is a positive thread, ergo I'm going with Shea as our future.

I don't understand how only LSU has problems with development of QB's. Other schools okay freshmen and sophomores and they come right along. Some schools even have two maybe three QB's that can play the position now without much problem. Why is LSU the only school who recruits QB's that are not ready.BS Is our system so complicated that it turns a 4 or 5 star into a 1star QB. If Ohio State can start a QB that has only started 3 games and win it all and Notre Dame can start a guy that is his first game to start since junior high and beat a favored LSU then don't feed me the BS about Harris not being ready. Also, you might want to recruit a fricking QB that can play right now. While we wait for someone to "develope" all the skilled guys at other positions are wasting their time. Then they turn pro when we get a good QB. Mett should have played 3 years with the skilled people he had on the team. And so it goes, blah, blah, blah, bull shite !

Miles has signed 12 QBs in 10 years and only one has been drafted, and I don't think LSU can't take full credit for his "development".
Until proven otherwise I have no confidence that Miles offense can 'develop' a QB.
I get what you are saying but you overlook Zach Lee who was drafted by baseball and the headcase situation with Ryan Perrilloux (I know... probably not spelled correctly...) and RP had he had his head on straight and stuck it out could have been a goodin...

I have no reason to think Zach Lee wouldn't have ended up like Jarrett Lee (who was an Elite 11 QB coming out of HS). The problem is not signing talented players, it's what we do with them once they are here.

Is Patterson even committed? What about Franks?
I don't have any faith in our QB situation for the next 2-3 years. Hope I'm wrong. Jennings isn't an SEC QB. Harris can't beat him out yet. What if he never does?

Yeah, let's ignore the fact that he was an early enrollee and was running the No. 1 offense in summer 7-on-7s... Your reasonings are so much more valid.

Tards want to right off next year because of this season. They have no idea that 1st year players can actually develop..
Just ask Tim Quarterman. The tards would have run him out of town last year if they could have..
