I was pregnant and my husband was worried I was going to go into labor. It was an awesome game.

Didn't someone die at the ole Box during game 3 of the 2008 Super Regional too?

It was after game 2 when LSU had that big comeback.

quote:

Seconds after the team's big win, Curt McCarty died of a massive heart attack. "He was taken home to rest on Sunday, June 8, 2008, at age 55, while doing what he enjoyed most, watching the LSU baseball game when the Lord called him home," read his obituary.

His 17-year-old son, Logan, saw his father being carried away on a stretcher as Logan left Alex Box Stadium. Before the game, he says his father told him of plans he had for them if the team should win. "He said he wanted to take me to Omaha to watch the Tigers," a tearful Logan McCarty said.

Did he see the interception that sealed it?

I know it seems kind of beside the point, but if it has to happen at least a great play was the last thing he saw.

Everyone noticed he was down just after the game ended and celebration was going on.

Put a damper on the end, for sure.

Hopefully he saw the last play.

I wouldn’t want to die in Tiger Stadium, but I would like to have my ashes scattered all over the field.
