Brian Kelly is now 2-4 vs top 10 teams here @ LSU.

In the second year of a rebuild where he didn’t even have 40 scholarship players to start with.

Context matters.

Additionally, playing top 10 teams on the road is somewhat challenging.

It’s not what the ultimate expectation is for LSU under BK, but damn, we are ahead of where I thought that we would be at this point.

This was painfully obvious when we hired him. Don’t know why it’s surprising now. Next year will be worse.

If you’re going to remove ole miss due to its final ranking since we won then you have to remove Florida State last year as a top 10 loss. They finished #13.

They won their bowl game and finished #10. The final CFP rankings don't matter.

We know you hated Brian Kelly since he was hired but I have a question:
Are you as shitty of an outdoorsman as poster on sports? Because you all of a sudden just started posting on LSU sports and it is all hate towards Kelly.

Signed Brian Kelly from notre dame for 10 years and 100 million.

2023 Preseason ranked #5 with talent all over the field. Coaches and analysts around the country had that assessment of LSU before game 1 this year.

Gets embarrassed by Florida state for the second year in a row in game 1.

Loses to Lane Kiffin.

Gets embarrassed on prime time by the refs/gumps.

For the rest of the year now the players worth half a damn will start sitting out.

I mean, what exactly were your expectations for year two under brian kelly?

Were they that the defense would be so incredibly terrible that they make the 40 scholarship player 2021 team’s defense actually look good?

The unrealistic smoke blowers on this page today are mind boggling to the rest of us. Even us optimistic folk see that LSU football is the new Aggies. With a Jimbo level coach as a coach. Well, Jimbo has a ring so not even a Jimbo level coach.

This simply isn’t true. The secondary was a major concern for anyone with a brain. Running back is meh for LSU.
LB was a concern to a degree as well.

In short, we have holes, and they are being exposed.

8-4 to 10-2. Only a moron would have looked at this team and expected better.

I had is beating Ole Piss. The ball hit the WR in the hands for what most likely was the game winner.

Such is life.

Other than that, it’s what I expected.

Yeah. Not great.

After 2 seasons I give Kelly a B. If we hadn't made Atlanta last year I would give him a C.
