My calendar says December 17. They don't have to sign yet, you know.
OC DC hires mean nothing in the scheme of recruiting right now. Otherwise, how do you explain the 13 that have signed with LSU?

Long term future is more important. A top 10 class with a shite OC and DC is what we saw this past season (even though Daronte got things turned around).

Obviously you have no clue what's going on here clown.... How'd it work on for the last coach that made knee jerk coaching hires? Trust in the coach & if he's 7 & 5 or 8 & 4 in 3-4 years then you win. This class will be what it'll be, it's about the future of this program. You have to tear some shite up when you do a remodel Karen!!!

Must tamp down the idiot fringe! Tigerdroppings demands that the majority that are happy with the state of affairs not just sit idlely by and let the unfounded squeaky wheels get the grease. Unless Hampton works for this website! If he does and looking for clicks my bad!

Here we go! Cheers!

Is it concerning we don’t have an OC or DC? Maybe, I wouldn’t fault you for worrying about this. I trust him tho.

Is it concerning these guys committed to Bama? This shits been happening and until we sustain consistent success we’ll be fighting an uphill battle. This is what we paid BK to do, to build a program to do this. Give him time.

If we have an OC and DC in place we would 100% have landed some of these recruits like Kendrick Law. Recruits don’t like uncertainty... No reason the trigger shouldn’t have been pulled on an OC and DC by now.

I really don't understand a lot of the down votes on this board. If you really think it doesn't matter that we don't have an offensive coordinator or defensive coordinator then you're not being honest with yourself. True some of them wouldn't matter but also very much true that for a lot of them that we're getting poached on it would have mattered if we would have had an offensive coordinator or defensive coordinator.

Dude,

we have an OC and DC currently on staff.

And until Mangus was fired all 11 coaching spots were filled (his spot is being filled by an analyst/GA to coach in the bowl game), those are the only 11 spots that can recruit off-campus.

Need some continuity in coaching for the bowl game, it would be impossible for a new OC or DC to implement a new system in the time frame of allowable bowl practices or for same to familiarize themself with the players and systems we are currently running. Both would be a disaster. In most HC changes due to firings, bowl eligibility is not present, that throws a monkey wrench into the works.

If we announce but don't officially hire an OC right now, that coach would not be able to recruit on behalf of LSU until he is officially hired and a spot is available on the coaching staff.

Even if a new OC and/or DC were hired the same day as Kelly was, their impact on the recruiting class would be almost negligible because it is impossible to synthesize a relationship with recruits in a two week period when other team's coaches have had months and years, especially if same had not been previously recruiting our recruits.

Most assistant coaches that are presently employed who will be moving on to other schools will be doing so in the period of January 1 to January 13, which is unofficially known in the business as assistant coaching season.

Nearly all of the assistants that have been hired throughout college football so far fall into one of two categories: (1) following a HC to new job or (2) released/fired/not retained by a newly hired head coach.

Patience, the hires will be made at the correct time.

So, tell me how am I the one who is not being honest with myself. You are delusional AF.

I am really being to think that half of our fanbase has the intelligence of a gnat.

The amount of pussies melting down because LSU didn’t get a 4 star athlete. My God.

Kelly did the most important thing. Loaded up on linemen and a 5 star qb. We grow athletes on trees and these kids will be in the portal if they don’t get PT at bama.

Get the hires right and all will be well. Get off the sec rant.

Is it more important to you to have the position filled by some random coordinators to appease recruits (and that may not even have the desired effect because these are kids were talking about) or to get the right guys for the job?
