Brian Kelly Press Conference

I just watched the press conference in it entirety. I am so impressed by how he presented how he arrived at the decision with his family, his passion to be the best, and how the process will be at LSU. He is articulate, which is something everyone has missed since the days of Nick Saban, and he has the “it” factor of how to build and maintain a great program like LSU. Kudos to Tate, Woodward, and the board of supervisors and all involved in making it happen with Brian Kelly. It’s going to be a great ride moving forward.

I just watched it also, wasn't a fan of this move at first but I think he will be just fine. I thought we would get a younger coach we could build the program with but honestly we would always be worried that coach would bolt to the NFL like Saban did and leave us high and dry. I will back coach Kelly 100% he is ours now like him or not. Idc about the money like the media and some people are, what matters is results.

I loved his response to recruiting offensive linemen. And, you could tell he loved to talk about that topic.
He looks for a certain profile. Sure, every coach looks for certain profile but I think we're gonna like his profile (size, strength).
He looks for a certain demeanor. Again, every coach looks for a certain demeanor but I think we're gonna like his demeanor (passion, discipline, intelligence).
He wants guys that are going to work for it and become a brotherhood at a thankless position.
He was not willing to share what kind of profile and demeanor he looks for. He just knows what he wants and, if you fit that, he's coming for you.

It’s crazy to me that the simple skill set of being able to coach football and also speak intelligently is worth $100 million. Apparently it’s pretty rare though since we haven’t had it at LSU in nearly 20 years.
