Brian Kelly at ND and Les Miles at LSU coaching record vs top 25 teams, vs top 10 teams and when it was a matchup of top 25 teams with ND being ranked higher.
Vs. Top 25 teams
BK 34-34
LM 42-23
Vs. Top 10 teams
BK 4-13
LM 16-16
Top 25 matchup when ND/LSU was the higher ranked team
BK 18-14
LM 30-14
We better hope Brian Kelly turns out to be as good as Les Miles was.
Why was ND fans so excited to see him go? Because he doesn’t win big games, stale, frustrating play calling. His teams don’t get up for the games!!! As evident from last night! They got bullied
Some of you will say Les had more talent and that’s why he won more games but if you compare the talent Les’ teams had and who they had to play, it would probably be equal to the talent BK had at ND and the teams they played

From those stats I’d say Les is better.

Les numbers boosted by his time up until 2011
Different tale after that

After that he turned into Brian Kelly

Les inherited a Ferrari, BK inherited a Honda Civic.

After 2011 LM was 11-10 vs top 25 and 8-7 when ranked higher. Still a winning record in both.
In Brian Kelly’s entire coaching career he never had a winning record against top 25 teams or top 10 teams and only went 18-14 when he had the better team

Les took over a fully loaded LSU program.
Brian Kelly got 39 players from O’s house fire
he also took over a Notre Dame team that was terrible for decades.

Notre Dame is a national brand. Maybe the most recognizable college football brand in the world

Yes, you’re missing the point. When it’s a big game, Brian Kelly does not show up and we all know that.

Brian Kelly is basically Les Miles 2.0.
Might want to look back at those stats again .

I never though that I'd say this, but I would rather have Les than BK. At least there was never a shortage of talent, and every few years we were in the mix

You may want to post less.

OK. Name another football program with an exclusive broadcasting package with a major network. I'll wait.

Brian Kelly has the 3rd-most losses by 20+ points as head coach of an AP Top 5 team. He has 5 in just 37 games.
The only coaches with more, Joe Paterno and Woody Hayes, coached over 100 games with a team ranking in the top 5.
I would like to know your opinion of the above statistic.

Everyone knows this…
If they don’t, then they are idiots.
Les Miles had much more success on a national stage than BK had at ND.
I think the hope is that he will be better here than he was there.
Right now, the program looks like Notre Dame.
Just Good, and thats it. Which equates to 8 or 9 wins in the SEC.
Les Miles wins those types of games we played last night, but that matters none now.

lol, what does that have to do with taking over a football team that has zero depth?

I don’t think he was talking about that. I’m pretty sure he was talking about Notre Dame be a national brand…

Notre Dame sucked for decades before he got there

Their fans were butthurt that he left to come here. Idk why some of you want to portray he was on the hot seat at ND…y’all need to stop with this kind of bs. Half of our own fans hate Saban bc he left for the best job offer ever offered, at the time, in the NFL can you imagine if he had left to go to another cf program.
