Look--this is a great hire. Woody did great! How many coaches can anyone remember left Notre Dame for another gig unless they were fired? No successful coach leaves Notre Dame to go coach the following year at another big time program. Those other so called "sexy choices" took the safer routes and went elsewhere realizing the pressure to win is much greater at LSU than other places. It was stated the other night during the LSU game on TV that no one at any other school would get fired with a 50-20 record 2 years removed from a NC and with the Covid season and injury issues the Tigers had. Kelly is leaving a good gig to take a chance at coming here knowing he has to win-and do it fast!

They avg around 11th in recruiti g nationally over the last 10 years and he is sub .500 against the top 25 with a bunch of those wins being Temple, Ga Tech, and Navy. An elite coach should be better coaching top 15 talent.
