Johnson’s arm is just as good as Burrows. Y’all are so clueless lol

I don’t get why people don’t understand the differences in the offense When Myles was starting vs the rest of the season when he got hurt. It was night and day the responsibility the QB had.

This is not meant as a knock against Max it’s just what it was and makes sense considering he was a true freshman making his first starts. That does not mean that Brennan should be the starter in 2021 and that the offense would be as basic if Max is the starter.

I am just excited we have two guys that I trust will be able to lead this team no matter who wins the job instead of having to pick the lesser of two evils like LSU has had to do in the past.

Myles’ lack of touch is much more problematic then Max’s lack of arm strength

I have to disagree. LSU won many games in 2019 off of passes that were 20+yds. It was a huge part of the offense. Big chunks of yardage in the passing game. Passing touchdowns from 20+yds out. Before Myles got hurt he was hitting 52.6% of those 20+yds passes. That's a amazing percentage. Johnson on the other hand was only hitting 28% of those throws. Below the SEC average and median of 38% and 32% respectively.

Yes the short passing game is important, but you aren't going to win a ton of football games just dinking and donking your way down the field.

The revisionist history of Burrow being Lamar Jackson is hilarious. He could for sure tuck it and run when he needed to but acting like that was part of the whole offense is hilarious. Burrow dropped that deep ball like he handed it off to guys. That’s the reason we went undefeated. Not because he could scramble (which helped).

He can throw a deep ball. He has an easy 30-40-50 yards. Needs better timing with the WRs & better player calling

I didn't say he can't throw a deep ball.

He just doesn't put as much on it as burrow.

I'm a little curious about Johnson's arm strength... he doesn't throw lasers, but he doesn't short-hop it out there either. And I don't remember seeing anything up for grabs.

Is his arm stronger than we think, and his dad has drilled into his head that you don't need to blow your receiver's fingers off? If you have elite guys catching it, you want the catch to be easy so they can run with it.

Have you asked the players?
I have. And the answer is overwhelmingly unanimously Myles Brennan. So don’t say things that you have no idea of what you’re talking about.

He just has a smooth delivery. He throws a very nice ball.

Max is super accurate and has touch other qbs dream of

That pass to jenkins in the florida gane was beautiful. Most qbs can't make that pass.

With all that said i still think myles brennan will start the year out as qb1.

There’s a throw from last year he puts it 65yds in the air rolling to his right. I’ll find it when I have time to look.

He has an easy fluid motion. But if you watch his workout videos you can see the velocity is there

Why does this statement remind me of Uncle Rico in Napoleon Dynamite?

It was against Missouri and it was a thing of beauty. There aren’t many people on this earth that could make that throw.

Against Missouri was Brennan that threw a ball on the run downfield on a dime.
