With what we have and potentially recruiting it’s not a surprise. Would love to see him be the starter but it is what it is. Hope he lands right. Needs a place looking for a pocket passer.

Damn. Was hoping the new coach could get him back into it. I hope that Nuss or Howard is good enough to beat out Johnson in pre-season camp. Either that or the new coach brings in some sort of QB whisperer. I’m not seeing much upside to Johnson starting in 2022.

So let me get this straight- you think a drop back quarterback should be looking for a passing team that doesn’t require a quarterback to run?

Hot take bro. I’ll pass along this insight to Myles.

The point is that he will get a lot of offers, even from schools where he doesn't fit - who might want him just for depth.

He just needs to make sure it's the right fit.

For example, I think TJ Finley is a horrible fit at Auburn. He did not make a good choice and will likely never be their guy.

So, maybe you should pass it along to Myles.

Great can go beyond the field of play. I would consider Brennan a great Tiger.

Brennan would be perfect for Southern Miss.

He's quitting on his team. Is he afraid to compete?

Bring him to ULM and let Bowden and Rich Rod make him a star. Program on the rise...alot of buzz around the city. He'd throw for a gazillion yards in this system....

He stuck it out as long as humanly possible. I think the QB's coming in and O getting canned finally pushed him out the door.

Don't get the double standard here. He quit on the team by leaving just like all the others. Suffered an injury away from the football field and yet he receives praise and well wishes. Stingley continued to play through injuries, had surgery and has been ridiculed nonstop here just like every other player that has been injured or decided to hit the portal.

He’s going to draw some interest. I think he has two years of eligibility left, and I hope he gets to display what he can do for an entire season without injury. He can spin the ball and he is very smart.

So transfer before you know who the new coach will be? Guess he's scared of the future competition.

Are any of those players entering their 6th year?

Didn't think so.

We all knew someone would end up leaving, that is not a surprise, just maybe the timing.
When you look at this from Myles' standpoint, it's the right move. He has no guarantee from a new coaching staff that he will be the starter next year, not the best O-line either. He has time to look at several other schools now which give him a chance to shine and perhaps get drafted next year. I certainly wish him the best, he loved LSU, but sometimes situations don't go your way...

Southern Miss will be open for him, maybe LSU-Eunice.

It's probably best for both sides for him to move on. He just never could get comfortable here at LSU.

Difference is Stingley was a major contributor to a championship and Brennan couldn’t score from the one with 4 tries against Missouri…
