Watching LSU vs TAMU 2019 right now and Burrow just hit Chase for a 78 yd TD. So there's that.

There are a lot of factors at play here. There are genuine health concerns, there is political gamesmanship, but there's also money. Never, ever underestimate money as a determining factor.

Brennan has four WRs, three running backs, and several Tight Ends with which he is comfortable. I just watched Brennan's highlights, plus the running backs. We riden again. He has the arm strength, accuracy and quick release.
Joe will soon be just a pleasant memory.

I hope so! I’m on the bandwagon with you, and I would love to see Brennan get 400-450 every game.

ban bet?
I want there to be football, I desperately hope there will be. But as of right now, I'm not super optimistic, and I sure as hell wouldn't bet real money on it happening.

Things are backsliding some as we reopen, and I expect an altered approach to the "next phase". The Advocate lists current hospital pts on the top of their site... it was around 550 day one of Phase 2. I just checked, and right now it's cracked 700 again. Have also heard of some recent deaths, both IRL and from the news... people under 40.

This is the type of info that leads me to believe- we're going to be in an extended "phase 2" until near Christmas, and big gatherings (like football on all levels) will be postponed a year.

LSU is not the Saints.

Brennan is not throwing for 425 yards a game.

Brennan is not completing 35 passes a game. The most passes Joe Burrow completed in any game was 32.

Brennan is not averaging 10.62 yards per attempt. That number is outlandish. Our offense was historically good last season.

All of this isn't to say we won't be good on offense. I think we are going to have an excellent offense. Just not an historic one.

Hope our starting 22 got those antibodies so we can get a full season out of everyone

I am choosing to just talk football rather than redundantly speculate about the future of world events on every thread.

There's plenty of places to discuss that if you want to.

McMath is talented, not as talented as Chase or Marshall. So Brennan to Chase and Marshall seems more likely.

Exactly. Saying Brennan has chemistry with McMath is funny.

Getting open is the ultimate chemistry builder.

I agree. McMath is going to get more reps and put up bigger stats this season. I really like McMath. I think he is an NFL caliber WR. He isn't going to leapfrog Chase or Marshall on the depth chart though.

If we hear it half as much as Burrow to Chase it will be a good year.

Checking your credibility.
What were your predictions for Burrow, last preseason?

Of course if it were Hawthorne saying that, a tackle is pretty much guaranteed.

Loved Jim, but every time I heard him say that I knew to just wait one or two seconds.
