Brennan Redshirt?

After watching today I'm wondering why we didn't Redshirt Brennan. He's under weight still and Justin McMillan looked good enough to be the backup last year

Rumors were the Canada wanted Brennan to play more, which actually explains the whole situation.

That's probably true. Just hated burning a Redshirt on the guy to play as little as he did

After today, he might get his redshirt this year. Lol. Crazy as that sounds, if McMillan is the starter, Brennan would benefit more from a year in the weightroom than Narcisse. Narcisse coming off the bench gives you a lot more physicality at qb than Brennan.
All that said, i assume the coaches will decide the starting qb based on all of spring practice and not just the Spring game. It was interesting Brennan did not start. Maybe a decision has been made.

Redshirts are meaningless. If he is a badass, he’d leave early anyway. Name the last redshirt senior to make a difference in this program. Corey Thompson maybe, but only bc of injuries. Battle ? Nah

Actually Canada wanted JM to play not MB, that's why he's no longer here. Coach O hyped up MB and he's definitely not living up to the hype!!!

I don't think Russel had a red shirt. Lord Saban deemed him good enough to play. Flynn took a red shirt, even stayed for a fifth year without the promise he would ever start until "The Bust" left early. Now we have unproven quarterbacks we have to coddle, lest they transfer if they know they find out they're not a starter. Wish we had a guy like Matt Flynn about now.

My mistake, he did red shirt. Makes it more impressive Flynn stayed around instead of running to another program after his redshirt sophomore year, when it looked like he may never start.

LSU couldn't identify QB talent and potential if it were served up on silver platter for breakfast including unlimited hot coffee with your choice of creamers

We should have either redshirted him or got him experience. Instead we just half-arse played him and didnt accomplish anything.

He put the QB out there that he thought would give them the best showing for the Spring Game, IMO that says a lot. I honestly think he's been feeding the media a bunch of BS this entire spring practice. He KNOWS JM give them the best chance to succeed.
