If Gus Malzahn was our offensive coordinator I’d be right there with you wanting Daniels to be the starting QB but the offense we’re going to run is nothing like that one.

I don’t know who will start but;
Brennan started 3 games , 11 TDs, 3 int
Daniels started 10 games, 10TDs, 10int
That’s hard for me to keep coming back to

Daniels has started 29 games, and his rushing stats have to be included in any fair assessment.

Brennan’s only 3 starts are as good or better than any 3 game stretch of Daniels career. And Brennan may not even be the starter. Brennan looked rusty in the spring game and I’m sure he’ll continue to knock that rust off with more reps but Nuss looked pretty good. Still some questions on his accuracy but he looked more comfortable and decisive than anyone else in spring. The problem for Daniels is the other 2 both looked better than him.

Ok let’s add the rushing and go with passing and rushing combined per start.

Daniels - 252.1 yards per game
Brennan- 358.7 yards per game

Daniels- 1.5 TDs per game
Brennan- 3.7 TDs per game

Daniels- 7.2 yards per play
Brennan- 7.3 yards per play

Daniels- 143.3 passer rating
Brennan- 154.7 passer rating

Per start for Brennan is only 3 games. That’s is apples to oranges

Also our defense was giving us turnovers and those games were all shootouts. It’s not an honest comparison at all.

If brennan can't beat out daniels then he will never finish a season at lsu.

It’s not but as usual any hard data is dismissed or ignored with nothing objective to counter it. Your argument is that you like Daniels more just because.

I think it’s Brennan or Nuss.

This. You can eliminate Daniels as the main guy because he lacks precision in the quick passing game.

However I would expect wildcat packages - it’ll be helpful to have a guy for that who’s used to taking snaps.

You obviously didn’t even bother to look up the information. You’re just making stuff up hoping nobody will check the validity of your statements.

If we see 3 QB's taking serious snaps this season, something terrible happened.

Kelly has been pretty open with his assessment of all 3, and he's said that Daniels is working on his mechanics and footwork, and that's set him back a bit. I think Daniels is a future option. 2023 spring is going to be a stiff competition.

For starters, Brennan is more likely to throw a touchdown than an interception.

So are you just ignoring Daniels first two years and only focusing on the 10TD/10INT last year part of his stats?

By that logic I could say Daniels is more likely to complete a pass as his completion percentage is higher than Brennan.

So 2 extra complete passes every 100 attempts is equal to 2+ more TDs per game?

Nuss and Brennan are more talented, Brennan’s produced better numbers and both looked better than him in spring

Well if we’re discussing who is best for team success, shouldn’t we consider overall offensive production while each QB is running the offense?

Because in the spring game, the offense scored the most points with Daniels at the helm. That’s something I haven’t heard mentioned yet when discussing these QBs.

Lol so now you’re ignoring sample size as well. MB started 3 games in his 5 year career verse arguably the worst 3 teams in the SEC. I would hope that TD/INT ratio to be better than I guy that’s started for 3 seasons against his entire conference including tough road games.

Brennan has never even faced a ranked team while Daniels has beat a top 5 team on the road.

You’re the one who brought up the comparison but because it was a ridiculous one now you’re deflecting. Comparing Brennan’s starts is unfair? Ok go pull up Daniels’ first 3 starts, go pull up his first 3 from his Jr. year and make it fair.

That's wonderful, as long as he wears a red jersey all season and nobody is allowed to tackle him.
