LINK

“ His odds rose to 14/1, which is tied for third among all players. Those odds are quite an improvement over Joe Burrow's 200/1 preseason odds a season ago.”

In my opinion, it’s a stretch to give Brennan the third-best Heisman odds and tops in SEC. That said, it’s a hell of a recognition that he is surrounded by elite playmakers and if he can get the ball out quickly and accurately he’ll rack up yards.

What changed so much to go from 200 to 14? Something has given people a lot more faith in our offense.

Thanks for the link. Interesting take of Brennan.

I personally don't take the hype heaped on a team or on individual players seriously before a down has been played.

Still, given Brennan's patience and desire to remain at LSU, it would be cool to see him succeed so spectacularly.

I don’t think you read that right. Brennan was never 200-1

I’m curious if the Heisman will even be awarded this year.

If Brennan goes out and puts up 300 a game and 2-3 tds a game...

And LSU wins all of their games...

A gump on SEC Rant actually said this:

Looks like Mac's odds are hurt by Bryce being in the mix as well as sharing a backfield with Najee.

I mean every year before the season they just hype up the Ohio state running back / QB and OU’s QB. Those guys get the hype at the beginning of the year because those programs consistently put their players in positions to win awards. We are now at that level. Welcome to modern college football.

Color me shocked.

Didn't think he'd be anywhere near the top, LSU passing game getting respect.

If anyone from LSU should be getting Heisman hype it should be Stingley.

Look Stingley may well be the best player in college football, but the hype is going to rightfully go to the position that’s won 17 of the last 20 and 9 of the last 10 heisman trophies.
