But the thing people will question is if she got the job b/c she is RS's girlfriend and this is a way to somehow get money to Shep. I sure hope they get this crap taken care of soon, cause I'm sure the NCAA wouldn't mind putting the screws to LSU since they are already on probation.

She's been employed there for a few years now. RS just moved in in the Spring.

When somebody actually reports the news, I'm sure we will find out that she actually has worked their since her freshman year or something, long before Russell Shepard ever dawned and LSU uniform, and, as a result, of their new cohabitation, compliance officials are checking into it.

Contrary to popular belief, the NCAA isn't out to get anyone who cooperates with them.

He doesn't work for The Advocate anymore. He's with Tiger Sports Digest now which is an online sporting news site. And judging by the way the people from that site have conducted themselves the past few days they're fast on their way to being a fricking laughing stock.

Makes much more sense now. So this Tiger Sports Digest? Who owns them? Who is Randy Rosetta's superior?

I bet he or whomever is invested in this company is feeling a little stressed today.

Nevermind, didn't realize it's SCOUT affiliated. I guess with all the hate for Scike, that Randy and friends feel they can do no wrong.

I'm thinking Shea will have a little chat with Rosetta. He's never been one to throw shite rumors at the wall to see what sticks. Rosetta looks pretty Bush League right about now.

What's wrong with what they reported? I have a membership over there, and I think they've always done a great job.

To compare them to Mike Scumborough just speaks to teh fact that you don't know anything about the people behind the site.

Sonny & Shea are quality human beings, and they aren't muckracking merchants.

So is this really like a student worker part time job? Like the ones where the students barely make any money? If so that seems like a very ineffective way of getting Shep money.

Bro, you sound attached. Quality human beings or muckracking merchants aside, THERE JOB IS TO WRITE FACTUAL LSU INFORMATION AND PROVIDE THAT SERVICE TO A PAYING CONSTITUENT, NOT PLAY "TELEPHONE."

I used be an LSU AD Student Worker, & I can attest to four facts:

1.) I had no inside connection to players or administrators to gain employment there.
2.) We blew the 20 hour work-week limit out of the water as student workers, and loved every minute of it (at least I did).
3.) I was paid the Minimum. Freaking. Wage....
4.) See # 3...

I'm a customer. The information they had at the time indicated that the Shep info might've gone all the way back to his Freshman Year.

They didn't run that info initially, as far as what I've seen, though they did hint to potential trouble based on the headline. Rosetta got two independent verifications of what was going on with Shep, immediately updated the story & the headline based on what they knew.

I've got no problem with it. I'm still wondering what was not factual about what they reported.

Rosetta posted "perhaps going back almost 2 years bs" and posted some shite like he had definitive confirmation of the wrong doings.

It took him 24-36 hours to expound upon his intial tweets, which seem a far cry from the sensationalized post originally dictated.

the indication was probably because it's the same fricking girl he's been with since he was in high school, ya know the girl he followed here in the first fricking place?

Yeah, I'm a TSD member and attached, who gives a frick? Shea, Sonny and Randy have been nothing short of professional in every instance in the 2.5 years I've been a member there. The Edinburgh commitment is a great example of that professionalism, the kind that goes beyond the need for the "scoop"

ETA: obviously Randys sample is much smaller due to his limited time with the website. Since he's come on board he has been great though. TSD gives in depth, informative and comprehensive coverage for us, much more value than the $10/mo we pay for it.

So are you saying they did the right thing by wording it as "Perhaps going back 2 years"?

Or are you saying in this instance they weren't professional?

Not denying that they don't cover LSU well, just seems in this circumstance they tried to be a "little too in depth."

I still can't believe people actually pay a subscription fee to those sites when TD will give you all the info you'll ever need.

I'm saying that unless it's a new girl he's been dating the same chick since high school. If there is something improper with their arrangement then it's logical to think it could have been that way since he enrolled. I don't think it's unprofessional and this still could be bad for us if there are uncrossed t's or dotless i's
