[quote]But if everything went down like its being reported then JJ at the least should be permanently kicked off the team.

True or false:

If curfew isn't broken, the players aren't in a fight and everyone is still in good graces with the coaches.

good point. also things get inflated. If you talked to everyone throughout the state we had 300k in tiger stadium when we beat them under dinardo.

True or False:

If the players went to Bogies instead of Shady's, everyone is still in good graces with the coaches because nobody on this board would know or care.

Without the insight of a former collegiate athlete such as yourself, I don't think any of the rest of us average joe's could have ever figured this out. So thanks!

True. Thats why coaches are 50 years old and put in curfews because they know what its like when they were 20. And 20 year olds are still 20 and think curfews are stupid and sneak out and have fun. Its an endless cycle. As a 20 year old you just gotta make sure you are smart enough to avoid the reasons for having a curfew.

The point is, if no curfew is broken, there is no fight.

Curfews are put into place for a reason, no?

Ditto Billy Cannon's punt return.

Judging from all the people who've claimed they were there that night, I feel certain they must have temporarily expanded the seating in Tiger Stadium to around a half million for just that game.

You didn't trick me with the point. Your post just contained too many variables that made it too easy to point out.

To be honest, camp was basically over and I don't even know why a curfew was still in place.

First, most of you have not been involved in a college program, so let me try and clarify for you the level of "disrespect" you keep citing.......minimal.

For the bulk of the players not involved in the fight but missing curfew, it was nothing more than getting a chance to blow off steam after working their asses off. That's it. It has happened on a large scale to every coach at LSU from Charlie to Les. Get over it. Don't blow it out of proportion!

You don't fricking suspend them, you run them and keep the matter in your own house. We called it Breakfast Club and it was fricking awful.

Again, this doesn't apply to those who were fighting, but the remaininge alleged 50 or so who were at the bar.

Keep it in perspective if you've never been on an organized college atheltic prgram.

Christ dude, do you think this is revealing information?

I'd say that would mean some kind of suspension like not starting, missing first quarter or half...something like that.

It's going to depend on the player. Starter, run a few sprints. Scrub, maybe more. Just the way it is.

The only reason it's smeared on ESPN right now is because posters on this board and other boards have chosen to make this issue take on a life of its own.

My experience is that when players break rules the whole team suffers..I dont call that leadership when the ones who did the right thing have to run gassers. That usually happens in team sports to show everyone that we win and we lose as a team.
